Chapter 28: Similar, But Different

<Flashback/Earth 1/Central City>

It had been a long day for Erick Thawne, not only was Kate staying with him, but he still had to introduce her to his friends, most importantly Kara, he wasn't worried about it but in some ways he was, he and Kara had gotten close, she helped him when Team Flash decided he was a villain, that he was like his father, but Kara helped to show that he wasn't like his father

For now though he and Kate were just gonna take a day off and watch a couple movies, it'd been a while since he'd done something like this but Kate managed to convince him

Erick was looking through a few movies they could watch as Kate was in the bathroom freshening up

Erick: Hey, how about we watch 23 jump street? I hear it's better than 22.

Erick looks at the cover of the movie as he laughs slightly, he doesn't hear an answer from Kate so he figures that she didn't wanna watch it

He puts the movie down as he goes on to the next, Erick laughs seeing Amber Heard on the cover

Erick: I don't think people would watch that given all she's done.

Erick sets the movie down as his face lights up

Erick: Perfect. Hey, Kate, I found the perfect movie. It's called Now you see me. I heard it's about magicians.

Erick smiles as he stands up and opens the case as he takes the disc out but a sudden "Whoosh" in the room startles him just a bit as he drops the disc, he looks over and sees Nora standing there in her suit

Erick: God, Nora. Don't you know how to knock?

Nora laughs slightly as she says

Nora: Sorry, I uh...I...

Erick bends down and picks up the disc as he turns his gaze back to Nora who looked like she was at a loss for words

Erick: Well spit it out.

Nora: I just...well...

Nora mutters "I need your help" under her breath and causes Erick to laugh as he sets the case and disc down as he walks closer to Nora, he was enjoying this moment a lot, and he didn't even know what she needed his help with

Erick: Say it again, this time. Louder.

Nora: I uh, well, I- need your help.

Erick laughs again as he puts his hand on his ear as he turns his body around to Nora

Erick: I'm sorry, i didn't quite hear that. Come again.

Erick truly was enjoying this moment, never did he imagine, Nora West-Allen would ever need his help, and so he just wanted to take it in
