Chapter 47: Day Of Hope

In Central City it was the annual gathering of Central City's citizens to honor the fallen hero known as the flash, in what was termed as "Flash Day."

Now the same flash day that was once held a long time ago due to the flash saving Central City, no, no, this was a different kind of Flash Day

It was a surprising day as it was the one day of the year where Speed Demon actually allowed them to mourn there hero

It was the one day of the year where he gave them hope, maybe it was because truly he was laughing on the inside knowing that after it was all said and done the flash would never return

Nora and Bart were walking together as they see all the fun activities that were planned, though Bart still was angry at Nora, but he decided to let it go for one day

Nora: Remember that time dad fought killer shark at the river walk?

Bart laughs slightly remembering the story their dad had told them about killer shark, he was a hero that day just as he was every other day

Nora: I miss him.

Bart: So do I.

Henry: Wish I could say the same.

Nora and Bart gasp as they get startled and see Henry standing next to them

Henry: This is the one day I truly dread out of the entire year. Why on earth did I let you guys convince me to do this?

Nora crosses her arms as she replies

Nora: Because deep down you have good in you and you miss him just as much as we do.

Henry puts his hand on his chest as he sniffs and then a tear falls down his eye until he bursts out laughing

Henry: Oh man! Did you see it? I actually got the tear to go down my eye.

Nora and Bart grunt as they start walking with Henry following closely behind them

Henry: Oh come on! I'm joking. I mean I don't miss dear old dad, I'm glad he's gone but come on. I just busting your cap.

Nora stops as she turns around to Henry

Nora: You're a jerk.

Henry fakes a gasp as Nora smacks him  on the chest and she turns around and starts walking again

She felt angry with Henry, especially on this day

Henry: So have you tried the flash pancakes? I hear they are the best to ever have.

He says as he turns around and starts walking backwards as Nora and Bart don't even pay attention to him

Henry: Oh come on, guys. I'm simply trying to bond with my siblings. You know like we use to.

Finally Bart stops walking as he grabs Henry by the shirt

Bart: Just shut up! God. Why can't you just leave us alone, especially today. Today of all days.

Nora puts her hand on Bart's shoulder as he calms himself down as he breathes out and lets Henry go

Henry though just laughs kinda impressed by Bart's outburst

Henry: Is someone angry, Bart?

Bart: Shut up.

Nora: Just leave us alone, Henry.

Henry snickers as he stands in front of them as his kinda happy expression changes to the dark, evil expression he's had for so long and he puts his hands on Bart and Nora's chest
