Chapter 37: Own Worst Enemy

The silence intensified due to the staring of Henry and Lucifer, the devil in disguise as many would say and the actual devil though he'd tell you that the movies and tv shows lied about the way he is portrayed but he'd just blame that one on his dad

Nora on the other hand felt awkward, she was standing in the room with them and she didn't even know what to say, she honestly didn't know who to be afraid of more, Lucifer or Henry, or maybe both

Finally the silence is broken when Lucifer decides to speak up

Lucifer: The multiverse. *Laughs* A ploy by my dad to show his power and how dad almighty he is.

Nora tries to wrap her around all this as she goes over and stands next to Henry

Nora: I'm sorry, so you're the act-actual devil?

Lucifer: Yes, yes I am. But if you ask about the horns and the tail it'll ruin my day cause that is not true. Your sins are yours and not to be blamed on me.

Henry scoffs as he looks away and Nora slaps him on the arm as he looks back at her and she motions for him to talk

Henry: Okay, my name is Henry, and this is my sis-doppel- this is Nora. And yes we're both speedsters.

Lucifer: Well it's nice to meet you, forgive the mess, I had a foursome last night and they didn't clean up.

Lucifer turns around as he goes over to his bar as he grabs three glasses and sets them on the table, Henry and Nora walk over as Lucifer pours bourbon into the three glasses and slides two of them to Nora and Henry

Lucifer: I know you can't get drunk but we all need a drink, wouldn't you say?

Henry shrugs his shoulders as he picks up the glass and drinks it, he bumps Nora on the arm and she picks the glass up and drinks from it

Lucifer: Now then, how can I be of service?

Henry: I need to get back to my earth, just open a breach and we'll be on our way.

Lucifer bursts out laughing as he walks around the bar as Nora and Henry look at each other and then turn to Lucifer who goes into his room

Lucifer: I may be the devil but I'm not god. I can't just open a breach, I'm sorry but however you got here wasn't me. You're speedsters, can't you just open up a breach using your legs?

Henry walks over and looks around the wall and sees Lucifer changing his shirt, he smirks slightly as Lucifer turns back around and he snaps out of it

Lucifer: I am sorry but I can't help you.

Henry: You're the devil, and yet you can't help us.

Lucifer stops in front of Henry as he chuckles

Lucifer: I do wonder though, what is it you desire? You don't look like someone who's in a hurry to go home. So tell me, what do you desire?

Henry goes into a state of confusion as he just stares at Lucifer as he feels his minding bending, but he couldn't help it he just wanted to speak the truth or whatever, Lucifer was doing something to him

Lucifer: Well come on spit it out. What do you desire?

Henry shakes his head as he rubs his eyes

Henry: God! Don't do that. What the fuck was that?

Lucifer was confused as to why that didn't work, it usually does well except for Chloe but everyone else that usually does work

Lucifer: That's weird, that usually works.
