I enter while feeling the stare of two pairs of eyes on my body as I kneel before the throne and ask for a mission. Master seems surprised in a positive way as she tells Miya to give me a piece of paper with information. The supreme killer nods satisfied as I accept the request without even looking at it and leave.
I pick up the diary as I sit down in front of the chamber. It's golden hour.
The paper I received contains my mission circumstances: "Target: Easton Windfield. War hero from the north. Family: unknown. Current whereabouts: unknown. Appereance: long red hair, blue eyes, scar on his left cheek." What is this? There is no detailed information of where I should go. Yet I have an excuse to travel anywhere in the north. This is perfect. I can completely seize my freetime like this. But before I go... I open the diary and read a bit: "It's my 19th birthday in one month. I will make sure to repay my debt until then. Please... I hope she will endure until then." Now that is a coincidence. In one month I will be celebrating my 18th birthday. Seems like she is about my age? If just somehow I could be able to communicate with her to find out more... She seems in a desperate situation right now. In another space or whatever.
I close the book and leave the center of the city until I finally reach the barrier. "This will be fun." I say to myself as I cross it and disappear in the forest. The supreme killer Miya Carrington leaves the castle and gets back to her private estate.
Not too bad Roxanne. You could keep up with that blonde who has defeated anyone until now. The fact that he refused to receive the title of a progressive killer one month ago after being the only survivor of the mission at that time, is suspicious though. But I know what Roxanne wanted. So I decided to pick a mission for her that will allow her to travel a bit. She will get a short glimpse of freedom this way. I hope she survives for a while. I would like her to accompany me on my way to achieving my goal. She would be a good comrade. Maybe she will be powerful enough to defeat "her"...
I take a bath and decide to call it a day as I ask my servant to prepare my private chambers for tonight. "Good luck trophy." I chuckle as I look at the stars through my window. It's been snowing quite a lot these past few hours so I'm resting at the nearest village. It feels refreshing to experience something new like this. I decide to steal some money and buy myself street food, warm clothes and a sword that I saw while looking for training equipment. It looks really nice and has just the right weight. I am not a skilled swordsman however I have been reading books about it as a child so I do know a couple of things. I should search for a place to sleep at for tonight. I find an inn and give the owner the rest of the money I stole as I take a room for the night.
This was my routine for the next 3 days as I searched for information about the war hero. No one really knew anything more then the fact that he was somewhere in the north. Finally I arrive at the capital "Zavia". This is a richer city as most people here dress like nobles. I ask for information on that Easton guy's whereabouts. "He lives as a soldier nearby the castle. He might even let a beautiful lady like you get inside." The civillian I asked jokingly answers. I thank him and follow a few horses who are seemingly led towards the castle. I can't count on my own orientation after all. I quickly hide as they get through a gate. There are guards right in front of me. I would have thought it is overexeggerated if I hadn't seen the way master is protected. Now it's time to put my acting skills to the test. I approach the guards. With a sweet voice and a trembling figure I ask: "Excuse me gentlemen... I think I have lost my way. I was invited to dance by his excellency. I'm honestly a bit cold."
The guards start smiling and escort me inside. "How could we let a poor lady like you shiver from the cold? If you don't mind we can meet up for a dance later on as well."
I almost throw up but keep my mask on. "I'd love that. I'd like to have a moment by myself if that's fine?" I tell those love drunken idiots so they leave in an instant. What phenomenal soldiers... I quickly get rid of my heavy clothes and run towards the back of the mansion. I hear people talk inside. Let me finish this quick. The big window must belong to the war hero's room. I climb inside silently but am surprised by the lack of furniture. He truly is a minimalist. But where is he? I turn back in order to get out of the window only to look into deep blue eyes and a handsone face with a scar. I'm having a deja vu again. But this time I will not let myself get knocked out. I quickly dodge his attack and jump back in order to create distance. "Not bad honey, were you looking for me?" He asks provokingly. I reply: "Of course. I was looking for a way to get my hands on your neck." He grins as he notices my glance towards his exposed, muscular chest. "Like what you seeing? You may consider trying to target me. I would let a beauty like you go." Haha what a comedian. But his offer is not unattractive. "Let's make a compromise then." I suggest. "Until the sun rises tomorrow we won't fight." He looks at me with interest. "And until then?" He asks.
"Let's get to know each other better." He nods in agreement. The next thing I can sense are his hands pressing mine against a walk while he explores the skin on my neck.
Yes... I can wait until tomorrow.
