The issue with loyalty

Evia Hakai is dining with her best friend. The supreme killer Miya Carrington. The assasin's leader is well aware that Miya is hiding something from her. But she trusts her. After all, Miya has gone through a lot as Evia's right hand. She was there for her when Sierra stole the albino's magical powers. Miya helped hide the fact that Evia became a human so the white haired won't lose her respect. Sierra... she was a beast. How many times did she claim that her one and only queen is Evia? And yet she dared to challenge and humaliate her. Evia still carries the hatred in her heart however she didn't dare to touch her brother's people. He wouldn't even tell her about Sierra's whereabouts when she left and betrayed him. What an unloyal whore she was. It's a pity Evia couldn't see her suffer for just a little bit. "What are you thinking about?" Miya pulls her friend out of her trance. "Just old times." Evia responds. "You know, I will always stand by your side Evia." The albino smiles in gratitude. "I know."

Miya was leaving for her residence. Poor Evia. Now that she has become a human, her feelings have changed as well. She actually knows how to feel grief and sorrow. Miya truly doesn't want to leave her white haired friend. She can only kill her before Roxanne does. Ever since the first time they met, she knew it. Sierra's daughter is different from Blast and demons. She is hiding a secret that might shake the world. And she will not give Evia a painless death. Miya sighs. "I'm sorry, my friend. In order to protect you... I will become a despicable villain myself. Even if you end up hating me in the end." Miya was good at convincing herself that she doesn't feel remorse. It's necessary if you have to kill on a daily base. But she does. For her one and only true leader.

I've been wandering from village to village, trying to figure out something valuable. Nothing. Ever since the clash in front of the barrier they seemed to have disappeared. But I need something in order to show my affection towards the demon lord. I walk down a familar pathway but I don't enter Kallistine. Instead I go towards a cliff. "Without you I would have never jumped." The painful memory of the first person I learned to cherish starts to fade. Am I really not capable of love? Even Tristan doesn't seem to matter anymore. Even though he helped me survive during my first month in Kallistine. Even though he gave me my first ever birthday present. Did he just use me? He was part of the enemies after all. I will never know. The only right thing to do, now after more than a year, is letting go. I pull out the crystall that was supposed to be his present one last time. I give it a kiss. "Thanks for everything." And throw it into the water. Let's stop by a village as a normal person for once. No need to create attention. Also it seems that my face is known now so I need to stay undercover. As I enter a market I start to forget my journey up until now. I'm back at the count's mansion.

"You have gotten incredebily fat. You can't have more food!" Father shouts. "When I lose weight, will you be proud, Father?" He laughs. "Then you will also have to learn how to play the piano. Oh and don't forget to study medicine. And learn the language of the west. And become exceptional at writing, and make sure to learn the geography and historics of the continents and the political systems. And..." I listen carefully, trying to remember everything. When Emily came that night I told her to not bring me any meal but historical books instead. Also when Elhain was gone I would play the piano in her room. I was studying all night because father doesn't like seeing me during the day. Then I would faint from malnutrition.

What an utterly annoying flashback. This is not the night market I went to as a kid after all. I didn't want to get involved in anything but I suddenly have the desire to kill everyone here. So I do. I swing my weapon once and everything starts burning. I hate seeing those families live a happy life. A desperate face suits them a lot more. It's beautiful. I smile as I face a crying child, searching for it's mother. I kneel down in front of him. "Hi cutie, I know where your mother is, shall I reunite you?" She nods. Poor choice honey. I grab her neck and start choking until she's dead." Someone screams behind me. "How could you?" I turn around to face him. Why does he seem so familiar? "What's your name boy?" He seems to be a teen. How bold to face me as a human kid. "Why should I tell you?" Boring. I cut of his right arm. He yells and cries out in pain. "Answer me human. I don't have all day." He finally responds with a deep glare. "Ray Malinne." Wow. That little monster is here? He should have been with my sister, right? It would make her sad if he dies now though. I simply leave without a word when he shouts: "I will find you and I will kill you." I chuckle. "In order to do so, you should stay alive and get stronger." This was indeed satisfying. I decide to go back to the underworld. As I enter, I notice something is strange by the way everyone is looking at me. "What's going on?" I ask one of the passerbys. "Lady Helion... the human we captured somehow escaped." Alright but what does that have to do with me? "That's not all. Since you left at a too perfect time, you're being suspected to have helped him get out." Okay now that is a big deal. I run into the palace, standing in front of the demon king. He knows about everything that is going on in here. Why am I being framed? "What's this all about?" I shout. Dorian gives me a merciless look. "Some demons have spoken out about this matter." He approaches. "Where have you been?" I stutter. "The upside world. But not where you think I was." Dorian raises an eyebrow. Suddenly everything happens so fast. I am trapped by the person I thought would give me freedom. How naive I was.
