This is draining. The beast keeps recovering and regenerating too fast. They can't seem to kill it. What kind of alchemist was able to create such a monster? Evia slowly starts getting tired. The cursed magic was still too difficult for her to control. The cheery blossom might help a bit, but it doesn't do the job completely. Miya seems unsure of what to do now. That thing is not being affected by blades and fire. There must be a certain kind of magic that counters it. Evia turns towards her friend. "Do we have anyone with a counterattacking specialty?" The brown eyed thinks for a moment and speaks: "Not exactly magic, but I know someone who might possibly be of help to us. Can you hold on for a while longer? A couple of hours, maybe? I will hurry and get her."
Alice was taking a break from her factory work and recalls how she ended up here. She used to be an admired alchemist back in her hometown before humans decided that they were witches and that alchemy should be banned from the world. She remembers seeing how her mother was burned alive for practicing witchcraft. Alice was scared to be next, so she simply ran away without a word until she came to Kallistine. God knows, if it wasn't for the purple eyed assassin back then, she would have died a while ago. It's actually a miracle that the supreme killer decided to let her live. Alice had to promise to repay her one day. And that day was approaching. "You stayed quiet, I see." Alice recognizes Miya Carrington's voice and looks up at the terrifying woman. "I need your help. Come with me. We dont have much time." Alice didn't ask any questions. She just followed the assassin who was almost flying towards a certain destination."Tell me what you've been doing during that time." The king of all demons orders the female demon in his arms. "You mean after you gave me back my freedom?" The red eyed nods. Roxanne sighs. "It's a long story. There was a special book, you know. I would always carry it with me, thinking it was predicting the future and thus related to my cursed magic. Turns out that wasn't quite the case." Dorian raises an eyebrow. "The book showed how my story was supposed to go. But fate or god or whatever you want to call it... changed its mind. That is why phrases changed, and the pages slowly filled themselves. My future wasn't set in stone yet. And then I talked to him or her or whatever. We made a painful contract. I got to know things that were almost impossible to believe." Roxanne leans sideways and whispers the words into the male's ear. "Is that really true?" He answers almost excitedly. "Then... you possess the god's power." I nod. You can say it like that. But the prize I had to pay was hella insane. It made me resistant to almost everything. That's what I meant from the very beginning. This world is my playground. For once, I'll make sure justice is a real thing.
Evia remembers that girl. She was always clinging on to Roxanne. "How is she supposed to help us?" She asks Miya. "She is an alchemist. Maybe she knows how to slow down its regeneration." The fragile girl nods with enthusiasm. Evia is skeptical, but she is in no position to be picky right now. "Alright, do your witchcraft thing now." She casually sais while blocking poisonous acids coming out of the hydra's mouth. The girl watches the creature with interest. "Every time it recovers, it spills poison. This is actually self damaging. The substance is a mixture of natural and unnatural liquids that concludes-" Evia interrups her. "Don't think I understood a thing about what you were just saying. What do we need to do in order to kill it?" Alice answers bluntly: "You need to wait. It will eventually commit suicide. Stay in the defense."
Miya is surprised. The revolutionary army can't possibly assume that monsters can eliminate the Black Stones within such a manageable period of time. It would only exhaust them... Wait... exhaustion? They are waiting for Blast to lose all their power so they can attack. Miya yells at Evia: "That thing is only distraction. I believe we're being watched right now!" Just as she sais so, someone is right behind her, forcing a sword down on her. It hits her shoulder while she is able to hold the blade up with her hands and finally jump backward. Blood is dripping down her left arm. That was close. The noble clothing is evidence. This must be their leader. Evia, who is still trying to stand against the monster, takes a glance towards the attacker. "You humans are some weak ass wimps!" Indeed. Attacking from behind is a very weak thing to do. Miya can't pay attention to her wound now. She picks up her weapons and attacks. It's a dance of blades. Evia is torn. She would like to help her wounded friend, but she needs to focus on the hydra in front of her. Alice, like a scared little rabbit, watches the chaos.
