"I'll be giving you questions. It's your decisions that will count and determine whether or not I'll let you live." Ray gets angry and draws a weapon. "What kind of bullshit is this? As if we would let you decide on our fate! You should be carefull to not get yourself killed by us!" Suddenly, there are hundreds of glowling eyes narrowing the young Malinne. The three of them freeze as they realize they are being surrounded by hundreds of demonic animals. I smile. "You should mind your temper. It might end your life sooner than expected." Elhain takes a deep breath. "Alright. We will play your game. If you keep your word, of course." I nod satisfied. My sister is smarter than expected. Kain faces her. "Are you crazy? She has killed countless people before. She won't let us off!" His fiancee stares back. "Then, what do you suggest? You don't seem to get it... Our lives now depend on my sister's mercy. We have no choice." I start clapping. "Well said. It is decided now. Who will go first?" Elhain steps forward. Very well. "Choose one of the demons." The golden eyed does as I say. She picks a small one. A fox hybrid. The other two choose their animals as well. Kain picks a wolf, and Ray goes with a crow. "Now that the players have selected their demons, please make a bond with these animals. They will be using your energy and fighting against each other. The winner will determine whether you'll get closer to surving or not."
Elhain doesn't know why Roxanne plays such a weird game all of a sudden. Regardless... How does she form a bond with a demon that can't even talk? The fox approaches her leg as she bends to pet it but immediately hears a voice in her head. "Why did you pick me?" Elhain thinks of an answer. "You seemed like you would follow me." The fox lightens up. "Your touch was signing our contract. I will fight in your stead." Elhain swallows. How will this little fox survive against a wolf? And attacks from above due to the crow will be troublesome as well. "Human, do you trust me?" Elhain has no choice and replies: "Yes." The other two have formed their bonds as well. Roxy speaks up. "Time." The crow flies up into the sky. Seems like he will wait for the other two to kill each other. The fox faces the significantly taller wolf. He runs in circles, dodging the big and dangerous claws. Elhain feels how he digs into her energy for resources. The fight goes on for a couple of minutes until Elhain feels exhausted. The fox seems to sense it and climbs up towards a tree. In that very momen, the crow makes its appearance and makes the fox fall down. Elhain gasps for air. She felt it. Physically. Ray runs towards her. "Are you alright, sister?" The golden one slowly goes down on her knees. So this is the kind of game Roxy wanted to play. Her brother faces the demon lady. "What did you do?" The white haired tilts her head uninterestedly. "I didn't do anything. You have power over that crow. And that crow made your sister hurt. You could have simply ordered it not to, and it would have stayed still." Realization hits Elhain's brother. Kain joins the two of them and explains: "That means the winner in the end will have killed the other animals and simulated that pain on to the losers. The clue is to order each demon to not hurt the others." Roxanne starts laughing. "You think you're smart, right? If the solution was this simple, the game wouldn't be fun. Besides, this will disobey the rules, stating that there has to be a winner in the end." Kain and Ray switch out a few glances and nod at each other. Their animals seem to stand still for a while before being ripped into many pieces by the fox demon. Elhain shivers as her both comrades fall down and cry out in pain as if they literally got ripped apart. She looks at her sister, who hasn't lost her smile yet. "Are you satisfied now? Let's end this crazy game of yours!" Roxanne approaches the laying female and whispers: "Now there you see my pretty heroine. All men would die for you even though you baited them into this trap of mine. Do you still think you're any different from the assasins of Kallistine? Now watch as I perform justice." Elhain's eyes widen in shock as the white cat demon jumps onto the fox and bites it to death, then literally eats up the demons organs. Elhain feels like vomiting. Kain, still laying on the ground, watches the scene in horror. His fiancee coughes and screams like she is on fire. Roxanne simply comments: "I never said that Suzy wasn't a participant."
