Miya's brown eyes meet mine as she seems to think about something. Then she sighs and tells her servant to leave. I listen as she starts explaining: "There are two types of demonic objects. Those who are cursed from the very beginning and those, a demon has turned into a demonic object. The bracelets we are wearing belong to the second type." She points at my wrist. "They posses exactly the amount of demonic energy they were given. However, natural cursed objects have a will of their own. If they have a master, they will follow like an obedient subordinate. The bracelets were given their power from Evia so she will always know where you are. If you get it off your wrist, the barrier will not let you leave without killing you." She has some bitterness in her tone. Probably seen it before. I pull out Keria and put it on the table. Miya's face shows curiosity. "I picked up this sword during my mission. When I was about to fail, it moved on it's own and saved me. That means it is the first type, right?" I ask. Miya looks at the sword with a smirk. "You keep impressing me trophy. Demonic swords will only follow people who posses cursed magic as well. In other words you are a demon." She states. I am a demon? How is that? I have never experienced cursed magic before. I literally only tried to live my life. Miya understands my doubting face quickly and adds: "Just because you have never used magic before does not mean you aren't able to use it. Besides I think you are wrong. You have experienced it before. I don't know about what kind of powers you posses but why don't you ask the sword?" She suggests. The sword can talk? This reality gets even more confusing. But I can try at least... I grab the sword and call it's name as it's aura flickers. Two seconds later everything around me is dark. I can only hear a voice. The voice of a demonic creature: "Master, how can I serve you?" Oh my god, it worked... I ask into the darkness: "Why did you decide to follow me?" The darkness answers immediatly: "Master's desires and ambitions are impressive. I want to join you on your journey." Wow, okay that is indeed a pretty good answer. "Then, what kind of demonic powers do I posses to deserve you?" I ask once again. Now there is a break. Finally I hear an answer: "The strongest and most dangerous ones." With that I suddenly come back to reality, sitting in front of master Evia's right hand. She leens forward: "Did you get your answer?" I reply: "Not a satisfying one..." Miya chuckles. "You need to be patient. For now you better keep your existence as a demon a secret. You see... Evia would feel threatened." The supreme killer warns. I can't tell wether she is joking or not. Regardless of that Miya finally escorts me outside and tells me to leave Keria in her hands for now. I am fine with that. I wouldn't want it to get stolen by these rats in our small chamber. The sun sets already and I am getting tired so I lay down on the straw and sleep.
Tristan Coulter wakes up as the sun rises. The chamber consists of only his friend and him. The rest are either on missions or in the castle for punishment. He was happy that his friend completed her first mission succesfully. She should keep sleeping since tomorrow will be the deadline for the missions and the training will start once again. He had really never met someone with such burning ambition in her eyes as Roxanne. How many hells has she been to before, that she even managed to survive at the top in her very first week and get the higher ranked killer's attention? He had a proposal to move up and become progressive killer before but he denied. It may be harder to survive this way but this is the only possibility for him to investigate and avenge that person without being recognized. It is a cold morning and Roxy was clearly shivering from the cold. Tristan puts his coat on her as a blanket and leaves the chamber. There is something he has to do.
I slept unexpectedly well tonight. Maybe it is due to Tristan's coat that was protecting me from the cold. He can be a gentleman after all. But where did he go? Whatever. I take my book and read a bit from where I stopped it. After all it seems that the story has changed... Wait a minute. What I had read before changed! I read the lines: "I got scared to death but it seems my friend is totally fine. I guess I am overthinking stuff these days..." That is evident. My actions seem to have changed the story. That means I can reverse fate, right? Now that I think of it this book might have something to do with my demonic powers. I will need to ask Keria later on. For now let's get some food. I am starving.
