And so, the supreme killer and me were working hard on our plans this month. We need to make sure that Miya achieves her goal which is only possible if we survive until we take action. We needed a few guards on our side so we offered them promotions in return for their help. The last and hardest step will be winning over the demon lord. He is smart and powerful enough to crush our plans in an instant so it is necessary to make him at least a neutral person. If I make a mistake, I'm dead. After this plan is carried out, my contract with the supreme killer will end. Both of us will get what we want. Eventually one month came to an end as it was time for me to go to the underworld. Evia was not pleased with losing a valuable member of the Black Stones but she couldn't disobey her brother's orders. I gave her the bracelet and left. Guided by Keria, I follow the way into the valley of demons. As I stand right in front of the gate to the underworld, I release my cursed magic and transform into my demon self. My eyes turn yellow and markings on my legs and face appeared. The gate opens and I enter.
Dorian Hakai was sitting on his throne of skulls while feeling the presence of a powerful demon. She is finally here. The demon king watches as the black haired beauty appears in front of him and bows. "I greet the great demon king. I am Roxanne Helion and I am here to serve you." Red eyes narrowed her yellow ones. She seems ambitious. Dorian wonders what her real intentions are. He will probably find out soon. For a moment he is reminded of his friend. What a pity she betrayed him. He wanted to give her a painless death but she had taken her life before that. The black haired male smiles. "Rise." he orders. "Follow me."
I think I got better at hiding my fear since I have changed into my demon self. As I follow the handsome man I notice creatures everywhere bowing down. Again... deja vu. This is not an own town like Kallistine. This is a whole world. The dark sky, the shrines, the creatures, the everything. It is so big. The demon king watches as a few hound demons suddenly attack me. I act out of reflex before thinking as I slice them into pieces with my sword. I hear the red eyed chuckle. "Just making sure." he sais as he enters a shrine. I notice the smell of blood and corpses as we stand in front of someone who is cuffed and seemingly beeing tortured. He is human. Why would the demon clan keep humans here? They are not worth the effort. They could just kill them. Dorian Hakai explains: "He is one of the members of the revolutionary army. They will be attacking soon." Now I am really curious. "But humans are no threat for us?" He nods in response. "That is right. However, Kallistine is not the only place where traitors exist. Demons have back stabbed us and joined them. Unfortunately one of them had the ability to regenerate cursed magic and thus create an infinte loop hole of creating new demonic energy for the humans." Now I get the problem. Infinity can overpower even the strongest creature alive. Even the demon king. They tortured the human in order to receive information. Judging by the fact that the human is still alive, it means they didn't succeed yet. The demon lord continues: "This is why I brought you here. I will need your support in the upcoming war against them." Reasonable. He faces me. "Your blonde friend. He was one of them." I turn mad. How dare he try to make me turn against Tris? "Liar." I say as I get in an offensive position, completely forgetting that the demon king would overpower me with no effort. And he does. Fast enough for me to not see it, he is suddenly close, holding my jaw in his grip. One slice with his sharp nails and I can say goodbye to my neck. He smirks. "Watch your mouth beautiful. Don't think I will be generous towards you just because of Sierra. Make sure to choose your words wisely." He losens his grip. "I like you. You're brave. But don't get ahead of yourself. Your life is in my favor right now." He disappears. I am left alone in front of the guy who is now awake. How much has he seen? I make my way up to him. "Where are your people right now?" I ask. Silence. "Fine. Tell me at least if it's true. Was Tristan Coulter part of your troup?" He nods while opening his mouth. "How do you know him?" I answer while trying to avoid painful memories. "He was my friend. Back in Kallistine. However he was executed seven months ago." The guy's eyes widen in surprise while his face immediatly turns sad. "Sorry for your loss." I say and leave. Recently I've become too empathetic for my own good. I am greeted by Dorian's servants as they show me the way to my place. Instead of inspecting it, I simply put down my stuff and leave. I want to discover this place more. As I walk down the streets I notice a few dancers who catch my eyes so I stop and watch them. Once their performance is finshed they greet me as the right hand of the king. That is a quick way to earn respect. I've always admired the dancers at the night market. I wanted to learn that as well. I get an idea. "Why do you first need to finish your performance in order to greet me? Am I not important?" I ask them provokingly. They apologize. "Can we do anything to ease your anger Lady Helion?" This is perfect. I pretend to think for a moment and answer: "Teach me how to dance."
