I help my sister get up as we walk back towards the camp. As she sees the massacre she starts crying. "No... this can't be. Who did this?" I keep my mouth shut as I silently hug her once again. "It were those assasins. Or even the demons! They wanted to kill us. Roxy!" Her desperate voice pierces through my ears. "Stay with me. We will go to the main camp and destroy them together!" What the actual hell? I respond: "Are you crazy? I am a child of the darkness as well. They will never tolerate me. Besides, there is another place I belong to." Elhain seems surprised to hear that. "What place?" I take a deep breath as I make up a lie. "Well, I found work in the west. They accepted me in the capital Zavia." My sister doesn't seem convinced but decides to not ask any further. I seize the oppurtunity: "What happened after I left? What are you guys up to?" We sit down. "Father and the maids got killed by those Black Stones. I joined the revolutionary army afterwards in order to avenge them." I have heard that one before. My heart starts to ache once again as I think about Tristan's wish and how it had costed him his life. In the final war I need to make sure Elhain stays save at all cost. She is a human. She could die easily at any moment. "We have been waiting for our division comander to come back. He went to the city of assasins as a spy." I cough. "Was his name Tristan Coulter?" My sister's eyes widen. "You know him?" No one has informed her of his death it seems. "Well, I heard rumors. He was executed because of betrayal or something like that." I try to sound as neutral as possible. The golden eyed starts crying again. How many tears can humans possibly shed? But then again, her comrades just got wiped out. After Tris died I was just as miserable. She nods in gratitude and we part ways as she finally tells me: "Let's meet again. In a nicer place." I turn around without a word and disappear. My wound has worsened. Demon nails are another level of painful. Luckily the flying monster is still around so he would carry me all the way back while my vision gets blurry. He knows the way better than me. He stops in the middle of the forest as the sun slowly fades. At least I kinda know where I am right now. I get down and fall that very moment with my eyes closed.
Dorian Hakai enters the human world. He prefers to go without guards as they would only be decoration anyway. He can sense the smell of blood. Demon blood. "So she actually pulled it of?" With satisfaction he follows the traces as he encounters a creature with the same smell. Before it can escape he had already broken it's wings. "Was there a woman with you?" He gets a tormented moan in response. "Where is she now?" The creauture obediently leads the way. Found her. She was leaning against a tree, blood dripping from her cold body. She opens her eyes as she attempts to hide her injury but fails miserably. "I greet your majesty." A soft smile shows on her face. She succeeded in her task. If she even got injured that concludes the others died. The demon lord chuckles. "Great job." He pretends not to know about her wound. She should get rid of her foolish pride a little. He had to teach her mother as well. Roxanne gets up, seemingly shivering as she follows the demon king. "Where are we going?" She asks. "Kallistine city."
Evia Hakai walks through her castle as her servants follow her. It was a shame that she had to let go of Roxanne. She was an exceptional assasin. She could have even challenged Miya in terms of strength and reliabilty. Recently the supreme killer has been behaving strangely. She would hang around the castle but restrain from getting inside. She also has accepted less missions and locked herself inside her residence. Maybe she got ill? As if. Evia sees Miya in front of the castle once again and decides to join her. Kallistine is expecting visitors.
I open my eyes only to realize that I am being carried by a handsome male. When did I fall asleep? Or rather faint? The demon king grins as he keeps walking down a familiar pathway. "Awake? You could have told me that you're injured." My cheeks heat up. "It's not that bad, anyway thank you." Once again there is a chuckle. "Not that bad you say? You asked me to wait a bit and suddenly fainted. You know demons aren't immortal." Wait, I did? Well this gets even more embarrassing. I'd rather not appear in front of Evia like this so I free myself from his arms and keep following him silently. We arrive as I bow slightly. Neither Evia nor Miya are placed above me anymore so I don't have to be too formal. "I greet you, master Evia, Lady Carrington." I say. Dorian Hakai probably came here to discuss details about the traitors or something but this is my chance to talk to Miya. We can execute our plan soon. We sit down in front of the cherry blossom trees. "Evia has gotten suspicious. We need to move fast." I agree. A few days later I leave the barrier together with the demon lord. "You and the supreme killer seem to be quite close." I don't look in his direction. "She has saved my life multiple times before. I owe her one." A short pause. "Is that so?" He sais. It seems like he knows something. "Before we get back I want to pay a visit to a few villages. It's been a while since I have come to the surface." An evil grin appears on his face. I know what he's talking about. The next few days we went on random rampages, burning, murdering and destroying everything. It feels so good and actually eases my heart a bit. As we take our leave I feel the demon king's burning eyes on me.
He knew she would be the right one for this position. Sierra was supporting him but never actually enjoyed the massacres or killed people with a smile like Roxanne's. She is not like her mother. She was born to bring destruction. She is a born villainess. No empathy. No remorse. Dorian will not let her go easily.
