The white haired coughs up blood as she is being pulled off the cliff. A chained sword from the water down there pireced her chest and dragged her down. She can only get a last glance of Miya, who is desperately trying to grab her hand before the albino falls deep into the ice cold water.
Miya takes a slow glance over the edge of the cliff. She can barely see the water turning red. That's it. Sierra knew that Miya would hestitate, so she had her last trump card in this river. Her spirit dragged the demon princess to death. Even after her death, Sierra impacts the world more than most of the creatures alive. Miya looks up at the sky. "Are you happy now? Will you rest in peace now and leave me alone?" She senses someone from behind. "Stop wasting time." The supreme killer smiles without facing the demon lady. "What is there to save time for? It's over. Both of us have fulfilled our agreements to each other. Fate doesn't grant us to win. So what's the point of trying?" Roxanne steps next to her mentor. "Evia is not dead yet." What? Miya looks at the purple eyed with confusion. Helion explains: "I've thrown a crystal in here about a year ago or so. It contains protective magic. The river is now a source of life energy. You see, where I come from, there is a famous saying. Those who are destined to be hanged are not gonna drown. Do you want to save her from drowning?" Miya's eyes change into determination. "I do." Roxanne smirks. "Then go ahead. You're free now, Carrington." Miya takes a deep breath, turns around, spreads her arms to the side, and lets herself fall backward until she is met with the icy water surface. Roxanne is faced with a ghost like visual at this very moment. It's her mother. Everything around them is suddenly black. "Why do you help them? These demons have killed and tortured countless innocent people. They don't deserve a happy ending." Roxanne closes her eyes. "Then the world doesn't deserve a happy ending for turning them into those monsters. You see, whatever anyone deserves is my decision alone. A guilty spirit like you has no right to intervene. You are a fake heroine. I despise you the most. You're the apparent good one who does many great things for people just because you were lucky that your past doesn't matter. People see you as a savior without realizing that you're the one who brings them pain and tragedy. You put the blame on others and backstab them just so you can save humanity from them. You think of yourself as a saintess, but deep inside, you're the most evil of all villains and therefore..." Roxanne opens her eyes again. "I will not allow you to go to the afterlife. Ever." Sierra gets no chance to answer as she disappears together with the blackness around the two. Roxanne takes a turn and leaves.
Elhain feels like betraying her own comrades, but she can't help it. Blood is thicker than water. She approaches Kain. He is the leader of the rebells and engaged to the blonde haired female. They are inside an inn in the east right now. "Kain. There is a place we need to go." The man turns towards her. "Where do you wanna go, darling? Once this war is over, I will take you anywhere." Elhain answers: "We need to go to Zavia. Tomorrow." Kain stops writing his letters to their fellows and looks at Elhain. "Why so suddenly?" Elhain is a bad liar, so she just tries to cover up most of the truth. "My sister wants to see you. She... has information about the red blade, and she is scared to write letters." Kain thinks for a moment. "This is indeed quite important, but it is too dangerous to travel tomorrow because Zavia will hold a festival. People will recognize us and it will be crowded at nighttime." Elhain doesn't know why Roxy wanted to meet at that specific time but whatever. "My sister is too busy. She works at the palace and can't leave often without being recognized, so we need to go tomorrow as long as we have the chance." Kain takes his future wife's hands. "Alright. I trust you." Elhain almost cries out in relief. It worked. "Thank you." she sais while hugging the male in gratitude.
The great demon king Dorian Hakai is walking through the underworld. Demons of all status lower their head and create space as soon as they recognize him. He stops in front of a casino. This is where Roxanne used to spend lots of her time. If Miya has kept her promise, his sister would be dead by now. That being said, Roxanne is likely seeing the supreme killer in order to end their contract. It is time to take back what belongs to him. The red eyed knew there was something odd about Roxanne. He was right. From the very beginning, she knew how things would turn out. The demon lord smiles while thinking of the dance they shared on her 19th birthday. She would be around 20 now. So young yet so powerful. He wants to see her kneel in front of him once again with the same passion she had shown while burning those villages. He wants Roxanne Helion for himself only. As he already promised. He won't let her go, no matter what.
