I fell for you

I wake up in a foreign room with fresh clothing and lose hair. "My lady,  I was going to wake you up.  Have you slept well?" Her markings and red hair... She's from the demon clan. Does that mean I am back inside the underworld? I face the maid. "What happened?" She bows and answers: "Apologies, I should have explained first. You fell into the water and his majesty saved you. He brought you back here. You're in the demon palace right now." My eyes widen. So it wasn't a dream. My head hurts as I get a sudden flashback...

Dorian Hakai arrives at the camp with two of his servants. He smells blood. As he follows the traces to a cliff he encounters them. Hundreds of humans and creatures are facing him. Some of the demons step back as soon as they recognize the demon king, he chuckles.  "What are you guys staring at? Come at me directly before I slice you into pieces." Dorian provokes. The demons hesitate and try to warn their comrades but it's too late. Within a second everyone is dead except for one of them. A random guy, shivering in fear. "Monster!" He shouts. Dorian looks down on him: "Where is the demon lady? A rather tall woman with yellow eyes and a sword." The guy points towards the cliff. No way.  Did she jump? Water is one of her weaknesses. She won't come back up by herself again. The demon lord faces his subordinates: "Lock him up and interview him. The other guy died already. I'll come back in a bit of time." The demons obey as Dorian takes a few steps and falls into the water. He searches for her and notices the sword floating. It seems to lead the way to the black haired beauty who is unconscious. Dorian grabs her waist and comes up towards the surface. She doesn't breathe. The demon lord puts his finger on her throat in order to perform revival magic but nothing happens. Why doesn't it work? Well, looks like he has to do it the old school way. "Don't die yet." he whispers as he presses his lips onto hers. Her eyes slowly open as Roxanne kisses him back.

I blush as I remember the details of how I was so close to him, touching his chest. How will I face him now without feeling embarrassed to the bone? The maid comes closer, a dress in her hand. "His majesty wants you to wear this and come outside onto the terasse." He wants to see me? The dress is honestly so beautiful... The red haired helps me get ready until I'm satisfied with my looks then leads me outside where Dorian Hakai is leaning against the steal fence,  surrounded by his servants.  As he sees me, he tells everyone to leave. "Good evening, sleeping beauty." He waves me closer to him and we start walking in between two rivers. It's an outstanding night, so dark yet so colorful. Dorian notices my amazement and smirks: "How do you like it here?" I give my most honest answer: "It's so stunning! I love it." The male stops to turn around and take my hand.  He doesn't bow however he leads it to his mouth and kisses the back of it. I'm feeling a little hot. As I try not to look insecure, I hold eye contact and feel hypnotised again. He's driving me crazy. Why can't I just use him as a tool and throw him away? He whispers: "It's still your birthday. Do you want a dance?" I smile. "I would be honored." And so we started dancing to music with an unknown origin. I was so happy that I couldn't get rid of my smile. His ruby red eyes are on me. They are only on me!  Nothing else matters. As the dance comes to an end I bow. "I enjoyed this very much your majesty. Thank you." He nods. "It was fun indeed." Wasn't he just inviting me to be his partner?  Isn't that what the dancers said about birthdays? He comes closer to my ear and whispers once again: "Do you remember what happened in the water?" He is talking about our kiss. "Yes, I do." I am being straightforward with him. I just can't help it. "You saved me. How can I thank you?" He grabs my waist and pulls me closer. "You already did,  sweetheart but I still want something more from you." His hand slides through my hair and puts it to the other side as he suddenly bites into my neck. Is he a vampire or what? I try to free myself from his firm grip but fail miserably. Somehow the pain feels good. I'm somehow enjoying his sharp teeth inside my skin. I calm my hands and hold onto his muscular shoulders so I won't fall. He finally releases me. "This mark is a sign. You belong to me. Don't ever forget that." His voice sounds somehow threatening.  Something inside of me wants to provoke him more. "I understand, Dorian." He laughs while hearing his name out of my mouth for the first time ever. "Stay inside the palace." I nod. As I wake up the next day I feel dizzy. Last night, was that a love confession? It sounded more like I was his object. Yet I felt valued. So I am a pricey object, I guess. But just like that the days went by. I saw him more often and we drank together at night. It felt so good but I knew I shouldn't forget my plans. Still I can enjoy life a little, right? These next months we went to the upside world more often. We murdered and destroyed. We were totally free. We were on top of the world. Once I asked one of my dance mates: "Are demons capable of love?" She looked confused. "Do you have someone?" I shake my head a little to quickly. She explains: "Demons can decide to love but they usually have control over this emotion. We live guided by our desires. We want someone, we get him and even decide to love him." So I decided to fall for the demon king? Why? He was the first person I was truly scared of but this isn't a reason. He was giving me something I had always wanted. Freedom. That's why I fell for him. I decide something. As I turn towards the girl I ask: "How do I show my affection or give a love confession?" "Find out about his desires and fulfill them." Alright. So I just need to gather information about the revolutionary army, right? If he sees my value he might decide to love me...
