"No Joseph Morgan is the best," "you're only saying that because he shares name with your father" Gladys scoffs. "How can you say Tom Ellis has a sexier accent than Joseph Morgan I mean come on" I rolled my eyes annoyed. Klaus did the accent better than Lucifer hands down. "What's going on?" Aunt Mary's voice reminded us we just stepped into the house. "Ignore them mom, how's grandpa?" Gloria goes to her, "you know I'm right" Gladys whispers. "Yeah right" I walked off with my shopping bags. After placing my bags in my wardrobe I moved downstairs. "Claire can you make me a cup of hot choco?" "Yes ma'am" she hurries along.
Taking the seat beside aunt on the couch I leaned in, "Lizzy how are you?" She pats my hair. "Exhausted but I'll live" I joked shutting my eyes, she chuckles before going back to her conversation with Gloria. Gladys must have taken their shopping bags upstairs. Dad and mom were not present. "Where are my parents?" "Morgan took Trisha out to dinner I think Ethan went with them" aunt Mary says, "oh!" That's weird, a family dinner without me? Okay I guess I wasn't around. "Here ma'am," "thanks" I grabbed the mug, inhaling the steam before blowing lightly and taking a sip. "Ah!" I moaned in delight and Gloria glanced over, "I will need one of those" she hops from her seat heading off to the kitchen. "I'm going to retire for the day" aunt stands also leaving me alone in the sitting room. Not for long though because Gladys came strolling in. "Where's everyone?" She seats across me legs up on my mom's favorite couch. "My family went out to dinner, Gloria is in the kitchen getting one of these" I replied and raised my mug up. "Oh! Okay, so what are we doing?" "I'm planning to just watch tv till I tire out" she nods. Placing my mug on the coffee table, I walked towards the tv set turning the tv on. "Let's watch Lucifer!" "Okay I think you got me wrong, I don't hate Tom Ellis infact I'm in love with the guy" I retorted putting the movie on. Walking back to my spot I frown at Gladys who had my mug in hand.
"Sorry go get another one" she blares her teeth at me teasingly before looking back at the tv. Too tired to argue I just went to the kitchen. Gloria and Claire both sat at the dinning table with mugs in hand. I didn't want to disturb Claire so I made myself a cup before heading back to the living room.
So many episodes of Lucifer later and my eyes dropping shut, was when my parents and Ethan showed up. "Honey we got you takeouts since you couldn't come" mom hands me the bag, "thanks" I smile kissing them goodnight and residing to bed. I ate first before taking a shower and jumping on my bed for a goodnight sleep. My cousins were coming tomorrow to play some games and just chat and I was personally looking forward to seeing Henry his my favorite no doubt.
Greeting everyone I took my seat on the dinner table, everyone looked sleepy but we all made it to breakfast. Claire served us before sitting down, mom insisted she was part of the family so she ate with us. Dad blessed the food with his morning voice before we dug in, breakfast was an African dish. "This tastes marvelous" Aunt Mary praised Claire, "ma'am taught me" "oh don't be humble Claire you're a good student" mom laughs. That's how breakfast went, light talks here and there. Christmas was tomorrow and we had no idea what to do. "Everywhere to eat would be closed" dad rejects when mom brought up dinning out. "Let's just stay indoors and think of something" aunt Mary smiles. Mom gives her a side glare, discreetly ofcourse. Oh! I forgot to mention mom and aunt Mary didn't get along. Mom feels Aunty Mary tries to control dad, her husband. "I'm going to take a shower" I was up and out of my seat, "me too I don't want to smelling like shit when Harrison gets here". Gladys follows me upstairs before we separated. Stripping off my pajamas I head to the bathroom. Turning the shower on to let it heat up, I stood in front of the mirror naked and brushed my teeth. By the time I was done the water had heated up. And I climbed in letting the water relax my nerves as I washed up.
Looking down at my private I had never being more glad for the wax I did last week. I was planning to sneak out and meet up William later. He would be parked alittle walking distance from the house and maybe we could have some car sex like we did almost everytime.
My relationship with William was young and passionate. He might be 29 but he goes at it like his 20. I wanted to look good but comfortable so I settled for my black body hug gown and my fur sweater to keep me warm. I didn't wear the jacket yet so no one would suspect I was going out.
"They're almost here" Gladys calls walking into the living room eyes glued to her phone. "Gladys grandpa's house is only few blocks away you can walk there" I joked. "I miss my cousins okay" she rolls her eyes with a shrug before sitting down beside me. Dad had his arms around mom on the two seater while Ethan, Gloria and aunt Mary sat on the three seater. Me and Gladys were also sitting on a three seater leaving only one space vacant. Some of us would have to sit on the floor when the others arrived. Ding! "I'll get it" Ethan hurries up and heads to the door. "This house is too quiet!" We all heard. "Henry!" I rushed up towards him. "Lizzy" he laughs catching me and spinning me around. "I missed you so much" I smiled burying my face in his hard chest and feeling the vibration as he laughed. I could see why Sarah had the hots for him. "Don't I deserve a hug too?" Harrison calls out in his deep voice, "ofcourse you do" I released Henry hugging him. Henry and Harrison were identical twins and they were really close. "You have grown so much since I last saw you" Harrison laughs. Rolling my eyes I looked beside him to see my uncle. "Uncle Marcel" I rushed into his unsuspecting arms, "hey princess" he laughs. He was so much like dad, I think that's why they don't get along. "I missed you," "me too you look lovely" he smiles. "Aunty!" I grinned at Fiona his wife who had her hands wrapped around uncle Marcel. "Lizzy boo" she approaches me leaning in to peck my two cheeks before squeezing me in a tight embrace. "You're looking lovely my dear" "thanks" I blushed. Hailey, Hunter and Hannah stood awkwardly by the side. Hailey was 13 years old while Hunter was 11.Hannah was the baby of the family at 5 years old. "Hannah!" I gushed going to pick her up, she laughs pinching my cheeks. She was so bloody cute taking her mom's brown curls that fell over her face. Hailey waves me and I pulled her into a hug with Hannah still in my grip. Hunter found Ethan and they both went off. Hunter like Ethan was a quiet kid and we didn't speak much but he was still family and I loved him. I sat down on the floor beside mom and dad with Hannah on my lap. "Brother nice house" uncle Marcel mocks taking the seat across my parents. "You saw it last year" dad rolls his eyes and mom squeezed his arm in warning, "oh no!" Fiona groans. We all chuckled ignoring them. "What class are you now Han?" I asked the little princess and she held up her fingers signifying three. "That's awesome" I cooed kissing her face all over her laughter drawing some attention to us.
Gladys was hugging Harrison tight as they sat down. Gladys and Harrison were close from childhood. The twins lived with aunty Mary for a few years when uncle Marcel and aunty Fiona were on the verge of a divorce. It took years for them to get their shit together by that time Gladys was so attached to Harrison. That's also why Hailey is 8 years younger than the twins, speaking off Hailey. She sat with Gloria listening to some law bullshit, seems we're about to have yet another lawyer in the family.
"Let's play cards" Henry smirks, "boy you always win" mom groans, "sorry aunt Trish I'll go easy promise" he winks at her. "That's my wife young man" dad jokes hitting his shoulders, "sorry uncle". We all agreed on the cards knowing full well he'll win.
