It was official, William was ignoring me or just being himself either way I was pissed. I gave him nor of my time and I think he figured out I was mad at him. It was almost lunch time when he bursts through the door, "make reservations for two at Jones diner". "Yes sir" I scoffed but quickly covered it up with a cough, his still my boss,he sat himself down in front of me, "anything else sir?". "Hurry up so we can leave for lunch," "we?" I asked while making the reservation. "Yes, me and you,I can't have you walking around the place with steams coming out of your ears" he smirks, leaning back into his seat and crossing his legs. "Ha ha very funny" I chuckled dryly,he sighs,"I've being busy Liz I'm not ignoring you". "Busy my ass" I whispered but he heard, "what would our colleagues have taught if they caught us speaking so fondly with one another?" His right I know but still it hurts, why is being friends with my boss perceived as something wrong? "Okay I believe you but you're paying for lunch" I teased,he cracks a smile, something rare on the face of William kwin. He leaves first informing me to meet at his car,dad drove me to work so I have no way to get to the diner that's it. Who you trying to convince? Me or me my subconscious mocks. Maybe I'm crushing on William but in my defense every woman in this company is doing the same thing. "Took you long enough" Will sighs,I have found his second favorite line,"don't make me change my mind" I groaned. "Jeez! Is it that time of the month?" the serious expression on his face makes me crack a smile. "A quick advice, never ask a woman that" I chuckled as he opens the door for me, "advice taken,I'm glad we are friends". I smiled,"me too," he nods before switching the car on. The drive to the diner was a short one and I listened to him ramble on and on about basketball,he was letting me in and I was glad. "You had an eventful childhood," he chuckles at the tails I told him,"well being a rich man's daughter does that to you" I joke chuckling as he parks at the diner, stepping down to open my door for me. "Well if it helps, I think it's your beauty and kind heart that attracted people to you". "Don't be so cheesy William it doesn't look good on you" I teased patting his cheeks. He chuckles moving away and walking by my side into the diner. "Reservations for William kwin" I tell the waiter, after checking he smiles at us. "Follow me," we strail behind him as he led us to the most secluded part of their diner. "Here is your table what can I get you as you wait to order?" "wine" I replied. He bows slightly before leaving,"wine?" "Ummm?" "Lizzy it's still working hours and aren't you too young to be drinking". "I will be 19 next month so no and about working hours I'm a heavy weight if you must know" I shrugged. "Just take it easy Liz" he sighs, "will you need to live alittle, you're 29 for God sake have some fun" I huff. The waiter returns with the bottle of wine before Will could reply and he served us both. "Are you ready to order yet?" "No check on us in a few minutes" I waved him off,he nods leaving. I bring my glass to my lips as Will watched me,"okay what now" I groan placing the glass back down without taking a sip. "What do you mean?" He tills his head to the side confused,"you're staring". "Oh....umm sorry" he blushed looking down at his glass,I found his reaction amusing but I knew better than to laugh. William has a huge ego and his technically still my boss so I'm not taking chances. I looked around the diner while sipping the wine,it had a fancy touch but also homey in some ways. "Lizzy can you get the waiter so we can order to go?" Will asks while staring down at his phone. He was in business mode so I did as he said,I called over a waitress and we ordered. She eyed Will for a long time before going to package our order. "I can't wait,Lizzy pay for the food and take a cab to work" he hands me his credit card before leaving. Is he for real? I sighed just sitting there, the waitress returns and I see disappointment wash over her features as she stared at William's empty seat. Me too sister me too, I paid for the food before walking out. My pride was in shambles,I made up my mind to continue my relationship with William on a business basis. The cab driver tried to engage me in a conversation,"I'm Dr Morgan's daughter" I snapped. He shuts up after that,"thank you for the ride" I sighed before climbing down. With the takeaways and my bag I head into the company. Straight to William's office,I dumped his order, before he could speak I was out. Sitting there staring at his laptop is the important thing he abandoned me in a diner for,I'm sure a fool. I ate my food with bitterness, before focusing on my work. At closing hours I speed down to the garage to wait for my father,"Lizzy darling" he kissed my head. "I didn't see you in the cafeteria," "I ordered out" I say before climbing into the car. "Okay so how was work?" "Fine but can we drop this conversation please I'm tired" I frown looking out the window. The ride home was silent after that,"I'm taking my car to work from now on" I snapped before shutting the door. "Lizzy" mom smiles coming forward oblivious to my current mood,I pecked her cheeks before excusing myself.
Taking a cold shower to stabilize myself,I fling myself onto my bed and approached my phone for some evening texting. I was overreacting and that will only increase William's pride not mine. I had to act indifferent from now on,he wouldn't make a fool out of me. I'm not those girls  who would kiss the ground he walks on.

♥️♥️♥️Short chapter, not that anyone is ever long. William had a good reason to leave but the fact that he didn't see the need to explain will cause a rift between those two. Vote and comment please.
