"Hey darling," I pecked his cheeks as he opened his hotel room or should I say penthouse suite. Joel was an extravagant spender.
"Lizzy boo," he winks before taking my coat off me. "You look sexy," he eye rapes me.
"Thanks, age is looking good on me," I mocked, taking a seat on his sofa.
"It sure is. Do you want something to drink?"
"Non alcoholic wine or juice I still have school tomorrow."
"Always the serious type huh," he winks. He leaves and returns shortly with a bottle of wine and two glasses.
"I don't know what to do for my birthday."
"Birthday?"
"Yeah I'll be thirty in the next two years it's a big deal," he rolls his eyes.
" Oh my god! Joel! You still have two years, chill," I chuckled, sipping on my wine.
"Yeah yeah but you only turn thirty once remember that."
Rolling my eyes the his comment I changed the topic. "How is the company?"
"Growing, still below Kwin furnitures but we are almost there." I tried not to look affected by the mention of KWIN but the bastard fucking knew me.
"Lizzy!"
"Yeah?" I avoided his gaze.
"You're not over William are you?"
"Nope," I sniffed. Why the hell was I getting emotional? Maybe because I knew Joel will never judge me. The girls won't, but they won't understand either and I didn't want to hear their opinion on the matter.
"It's okay to cry."
"It's being three years Joel, what's wrong with me?" I sobbed and he abandoned his seat for the one beside me. "Nothing Lizzy nothing," he pulls me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around his waist, crying into his chest.
"Your relationship with William was special you can never forget that."
"I know but I should be able to move on," I looked up at him.
"Do you want to?" Do I want to move on? I didn't have the answer but it seems Joel did because he smirks.
"What?"
"Your hesitation shows you don't so don't."
"What do you mean? I should be single all my life," I scoffed.
"You will return to America at some point right?"
"Yeah in two years time, after graduation."
"See.....you can patch things up with William."
"Joel are you crazy? The guy would probably be married by then."
"Maybe, but you can atleast get closure then decide to move on."
"I don't want to spend my remaining college years alone."
"You don't have to," he gave me his dubious smirk. "I don't mean sex, asshole," I chuckled hitting his arms.
"Oh! Well you can still date, I'm not a psychologist so maybe you can fall in love again."
"I thought I loved Eli though, when we were together I never thought of William but suddenly we break up and William is all I can think about," I sighed.
"Those guys are a distraction and your mind and heart knows that. You've survived three years Lizzy you can survive another two."
"I won't stop dating."
"I didn't tell you to," he smiles.
"Fine! Are you still in love with William?" I joked.
"Nope! Have you met Alan Ray?" he sighs.
"Nope, who the hell is that?"
"My reason for being here."
"Ouch! And I thought you came here because you missed me," I pouted.
"I do love, seeing Alan Ray is a added bonus," he grins.
"Tell me about this guy?"
"No, wait till you meet him on Saturday."
"Saturday? What have you done Joel?" I crossed my arms with a stern look on my face.
"I set us up for a double date."
"The guy is gay?"
"No but I've never cared," he smirks.
"Who is your date then?"
"You Lizzy, I can't go on dates with other girls it would give them false hope."
"Joel!" I warned.
"I'm sorry Liz but when you see this guy you'll understand," he begs.
"Fine, but this guy better be worth it."
"His not William but he would be," he smirks.
"So how's Kenna?"
"She's grown, even wanting to marry," he scoffs.
"You do remember you're only older than her with three years right?" I laughed.
"Yeah whatever, but I don't like her boyfriend."
"Why?"
"I feel his only with her for what he stands to gain," Joel frowns.
"According to everything you've told me about her I'm sure she can handle herself," I assured him. I know what it feels like to worry for a sibling.
"I know but she's still my baby sister and I don't want to see her get hurt."
"She has to make mistakes to grow Joel, it's inevitable."
"Oh! look at my little Lizzy so mature," he teased pinching my cheeks. I swat his hands away giggling. "I'm almost 23 Joel it would be a pity if I haven't learnt anything."
"You're right and I'm so proud of you."
"Thanks pa," I rolled my eyes.
"Good to know you're still a bitch."
"And you're still a jackass," I counter chuckling.
"I'll turn on the tv, do you want to eat something I can order room service."
"Sure I should just eat dinner here," I smiled.
"Okay I'll go order turn on the tv."
"Okay," I stood up walking to the tv set.
"Originals?"
"Only because of their accents," I smirked.
"Okay I have no objections their hot," Joel smirks. We spent hours talking and chilling. "It's getting late Lizzy," Joel stretches releasing a yawn.
"Yes you're right I better go." I dropped my legs from the coffee table, standing up. "Bye," I pecked his cheeks.
He escorts me to the door, "see you on Saturday Lizzy."
"Sure." Taking the elevator down, I marveled once more at the interior design of the lounge. Out in the open, I found my car before jumping in and speeding off. I got home few minutes pass nine and everywhere was silent. Thankfully I ate dinner out so I just locked up, heading to my room. A quick shower and rolling down my blinds later, I was dozing off in my blanket.
"Thanks for doing this Lizzy you're a true sister" - Joel boo😘😘😘.
"I got home safe and it's no problem Joel I just hope his worth it😤😤😤😘" - me. I switched off my phone after that wanting to get some sleep.
♥️♥️♥️Alan is not gay from what you've read so you shouldn't expect a relationship to blossom. Joel will rather be friends with his crushes than not have them in his life at all.
