"You have got to be kidding me! We have a fucking library!" "I mean we are no nerds but we can pretend to be" Sarah jokes laughing at my star struck face.
The library was huge with rolls and rolls of new books. "That man is crazy" I said referring to my father. "He loves you" Gera smiles before pulling me to a corner and Sarah follows behind. She stops in front of a big window with a couch in front of it, "perfect view of the city" she smirks. "I wish I loved reading this would be really amazing" I sighed. "Well we have to do homework so..." Sarah shrugs slumping on the couch. "It's just so soft I could have sex on it" she moans by the small smirk on her face I knew she was trying to annoy Gera and it worked. "Don't you dare bring any of your man toys here. Your room has enough space!" Gera groans pulling her from the couch. Sarah laughs before swinging her hands over both our shoulders bringing our faces together. "You've seen the living room, dinning and kitchen so that leaves the guest bedrooms and the backyard". "Do we have a pool?" "Yes but I'm sure it would be used more as an hot tub considering the climate here" Gera explains as we maneuvered down the stairs still linked by Sarah. We waved Gloria before disappearing down the hallway. "This is the first guest bedroom" Gera pushed the door open Sarah had let go of us by now. "By the slightly rumbled bed I can guess my cousins slept in this one?" I asked taking in the moderate interiors. Our roommate when we get one would have to design it themselves. "Yes but Gladys isn't coming back today. After her classes she claims to have a morning class tomorrow and their condo is way closer to campus". "Wait Lizzy have you seen your Ferrari?" Gera blurts out and my eyes widens in shock. "Wh.......what did you say?" I stuttered. "Exactly what you heard chica you have a freaking Ferrari and you're tots driving us to school" Sarah smirks. We closed the door checking the other room but my mind was still reeling the information. I have to thank him but I'm not ready to speak to him. Wait! I can just send a thank you text and tell him not to call me.
"Earth to Lizzy" Gera snaps her fingers in my face. I hadn't realized we were at the backyard now. Looking back I saw we passed through the kitchen. The backyard was cool but missing something. "There is no garden" I frowned, "we can take online classes in horticulture and grow one" Sarah shrugs. "Or we could just find a gardener" I suggested. "Fine! We will ask your cousins if they know anyone later but look at this pool. I can't already envision a pool party here. We will be the coolest kids in town!" Sarah squeaks. "This is college Sara not highschool" I joked before actually taking in the nice pool. "We can throw college certified parties" sarah argues, "ofcourse you can your major is fashion designing try doing mathematics or nursing" Gera points to me as she spoke. "Oh! I'm sorry I forgot you guys schedule will be tight". "We'll think of something when the time comes Sarah" I assured her. The chilly air forced us back into the house. "We don't have a fire place" I pointed out, "we have magnificent heaters we don't need a fire place and we won't know how to cater for one". It's true back in New York there was no fire place but I thought since London was extremely cold we'll have one.
"I'm hungry" Gera sighs collapsing beside my cousin. "I can cook you all something before I go". "Go? Where are you going?" Sarah asked and I leaned in slightly to hear her answer. She sighs, "my boss wants me to review a new case and needs me at the office early. My work clothes are back at the condo so I need to leave sorry" she rambles off. "Oh!" "I will visit" she glanced at me and I nodded but looked away. "You should get going then it's getting late and I'm pretty sure Lizzy and I can handle dinner" Gera laughs. "Hey! What about me?" Sarah scoffs. "You don't want a Logan anywhere near your kitchen" Gera pretends to whisper to Gloria but said it loud enough for us to hear. Sarah rolls her eyes but rests her case. "I could teach you how to cook" I stated. I haven't said much in the last hour so a full sentence must have being a surprise. "I thought you were mute!" Sarah squeaks rolling my eyes I stood up. "Geraldine let's get started on dinner I'm pretty famished myself" I said before heading to the kitchen. I heard Sarah see Gloria off before coming to join us. "What do I do?" "Since you have some experience in cutting vegetables you do that".
After dinner we stayed up to the latest hour watching friends and laughing our butts off. The distraction was nice but now in the silence of my room it all came back. Grabbing my phone from the bedside table I did a stupid thing. "You have reached me please leave a message" William's voice mail says. I wanted to just hang up but the greater part of me wanted to pretend he was on the other line. "Hey love" I paused, "I miss you so much and I can't really say how I feel about London since I haven't left the house yet" I chuckled nervously. "I know I shouldn't call you or text you but I just wanted to hear your voice. I hope you're not nearly as miserable as I am. I love you". Hanging up I wiped a traitorous lone tear before messaging my father. I kept it light and blunt. My wall clock revealed it was 4:20 so I shut my eyes leaning into the soft bedsheet and tried to get some sleep.
