"Can't. Me and my girls are going on a road trip wouldn't be back till Monday" - Lizzy.
"I leave for my parents house on Sunday evening babe😭😭😭" - Eli.
"Well I guess I'll see you after the holidays then😭😭😭" - Lizzy.
"Yeah"- Eli.
He goes offline so I also shut my phone before I got parking for the three days trip. I only agreed to this because of Sarah. Three days with the bratty group sounds like pure torture.
"Lizzy! They are outside!"
"Coming!" I yelled back zipping up my small traveling bag. Throwing it over my shoulders I tucked my phone into my jeans back pocket before going down. They hired a mini van along with a driver so I jumped in beside Geraldine who had her ears blocked. I followed suit plugging in my earpods. Sarah fits well with this group and it worries me. Is that really who she is? A girl who finds pleasure in putting people down. My mind takes me back to an incident that happened two days after exams began.
FLASHBACK
I slipped into my seat beside Gera and across the girls.
"How are you guys preparing for the exams?" I tried to start a conversation.
"We are not" Fiona scoffs pinging. I glanced at Sarah who was deep in a conversation with Jacklin, the green hater. I sighed softly before looking down at my food.
"Hey" a soft voice calls. It attracts all the attention of those on the table.
"Who the fuck are you?!" Mary looks her up and down.
"Emma what's up?" I asked instead.
"You know this thing?" Fiona scoffs.
"No need to be a bitch" Emma rolls her eyes.
"What did you just say?!" Jacklin raises her voice attracting the attention of the whole canteen. Emma looks down embarrassed.
"Sarah!" Veronica frowns.
"Who the fuck is she Lizzy? You know what just get her out of here" Sarah rolls her eyes.
"Sarah?" I questioned shocked. She rolls her eyes again staring at Emma in disgust.
"Leave fat bitch!" Mary yells and the canteen breaks off in laughs. Emma turns red in embarrassment looking at me for help and I stand up taking her outside.
"I need a boob implant" Fiona sighs. Why I'm I still hearing them through my speaker?
"What's up with your friends Sarah?" Jacklin scoffs.
"They are just tired" Sarah lies.
"I don't know why you hang with them their sooo boring" Fiona whines.
"I have to put up with them after all we live together" Sarah laughs. You have got to be kidding me. I turned my volume up not wanting to hear anymore. The van stops in front of the hotel and I unplugged my earpods. When the bratty group got down Sarah closed the door and turned to stare at us.
"I know you guys are mad at me but after this trip we don't have to hang with them again. I have my own network now" she smiles.
"Whatever Sarah. Lizzy let's go" Gera scoffs climbing down from the van.
"Lizzy......." I ignored her. The extent she would go for a network is awful. We all walked into the hotel and headed to the receptionist desk.
"I want the penthouse" Liv whines. The lady behind the desk sighs before telling her the price.
"Should we share? The penthouse has only three rooms?" Liv turns to us.
"Three rooms? Okay we'll share" Mary sighs. Liv paid for the room before we walked away to the elevator. The hotel was classy. The penthouse was on the top floor.
"Wow! Look at this view!" Mary gushed looking through the glass wall.
"I'm more for the beach" Fiona laughs settling down on the couch and I sat across her.
"Hey Lizzy right?"
"Yes?"
"Well you seem a bit tense and I have something to ease you up" Fiona giggles.
"No thanks".
"Your loss" she scoffs and I ignored her looking at Gera who sat beside me.
"Okay Sarah and her little friends are sharing a room. Fiona you're with me and Liv and Jacklin can share" Mary laughs.
"Let's go" Gera picks her bag up and I followed her down the corridor picking out the first room. I was already tired from the trip so I flopped down on the soft bed bouncing slightly. Gera placed her bag in the closet before jumping on the bed and laying beside me.
"How are things with Eli?" I blushed looking away.
"Oh you're in love" she teases.
"Who's in love?" Sarah walks into the room.
"No one" I frowned.
"Come on guys" she sighs sitting on the only chair present. We stayed silent.
"We are ordering room service!" Jacklin yells.
"I'm going to shower" I whispered to Gera.
"Are you guys really ghosting me?" Sarah questions.
"We don't know you anymore Sarah".
"You do. I'm sorry I have being acting off this few months. I just......"
"We get it your network" I rolled my eyes before walking into the bathroom. I heard her reply and Gera calling her out. Maybe we were being too harsh. Really since this whole popular thing we have all drifted apart. Gera shoved herself in her studies. Sarah was rarely at home always partying with the popular kids. I spent most of my time with Eli. His perfect in his own way and talking to him just comes so easy. After my shower I changed into my pajamas before going out. The others were already eating. I grabbed a plate before going back to our room. Gera and Sarah followed me.
"We need to talk our differences out".
"I agree" Sarah nods. Gera groans but doesn't object.
