Dinner! Such a simple word had me worried. It had being a week since the William fiasco and things had honestly calmed down. But today mom walked into my room to inform me of dinner with the Logan's and Jonathan's . Why? I had asked but she only told me to be ready at 6. I had no problem with my friends and their family coming over but I needed to know why? What was the special occasion and how did they get Sarah's mother to be free? She takes her job very seriously since she saves lives and all.
With a sigh I stared at my reflection. My makeup was on point and it covered the bags under my eyes. My dress was a simple blue gown that hugged my upper chest and flowed from my waist to my knee. I curled my hair which was something I rarely did because it was stressful and took time. "Elizabeth! They're here!" Mom called from downstairs. I slipped on my flats before walking out. I heard her conversing with Mrs Logan before I saw them. "Good evening ma'am" I made my presence known. "Lizzy! You look so beautiful" she grins giving a quick hug. "Thanks" I whispered hugging her back. Mr Logan nods in my direction before focusing on my dad. Sarah's father was a stern man but he had a big heart and gave Sarah alot of free will. Speaking of Sarah she linked her elbow with mine pulling me away. "Why are we here?" She asked. "I have no idea" I whispered back. We passed fake smiles to our parents when they looked our way. "I don't have a good feeling about this Lizzy. My mother hugged me earlier. Stephanie hugged me!" To some this is a normal occurrence but not for the Logan's. "Maybe we're just paranoid and she wanted you to feel her love" I assured her. "I fucking hope so" she groans, me too. The Jonathan's arrived next and Geraldine immediately found her spot beside us. "What the heck is going on?" she whispers. "We have no idea but let just enjoy being here together" I chuckled.
"How are things with William?" Gera asked and Sarah looked at me. "I don't really want to talk about that today but we are moving forward spending much time together" I rambled blushing. Sarah hums "I sniff love in the air" she teased. "It has being in the air for awhile" I rolled my eyes but my lips turned up in a smile.
"Let's go to the dinning room" mom calls and we three walked together taking a seat towards the ending of the table. I avoided looking in Gabriel's direction. I was lucky he had to leave for school one week after my birthday. But Geraldine said he returned for the Christmas holiday then fell sick so he's still in town. I don't want to speak to him. I know he didn't mean to say those things but it doesn't make it hurt any less.
Our parents conversed while Sarah told us how things were sailing with this new guy she had met. Things with Collins didn't last more than one month and like I thought Gera wasn't feeling Martin.
Claire served the food and dad blessed it before we all dug in. Since guests were around she had to eat in the kitchen. After dinner Claire brought out dessert. "This is a full course meal" Geraldine whispers eyes watering at the sight of the vanilla and chocolate cake. Placing a slice of cake on my plate I looked up at dad trying to gouge his expression. He kept his face blank. He even met my gaze smiling slightly before looking back at Mr Jonathan who was telling a tale. Maybe it's just a friendly dinner and I'm getting worried for nothing.
Dad clears his throat before looking at all our faces. The parents nodded but we the kids stared at each other clueless. "Pack up girls your flight to London leaves next tomorrow" dad breaks out. "What!" Sarah and Gera chorused. This must be a sick joke. There was no way this shit is really happening. No fucking way! "It's for your own goods" "what would we do there? School doesn't start till June". "You will work and get accustomed to the environment" Mr Logan glared down at his daughter. "Dad!" Gera tries instead since her father was the cooler one among our parents. "We have carefully evaluated baby it's for your good" her father smiles. "Lizzy! Say something" Sarah pokes me and I stared at my father lost for words. With a shake of my head I pushed my chair back stomping off I was still in denial. I heard footsteps behind me following me to my room. The three of us sat down on my bed and the air was tense and quiet. "Lizzy! Talk to us" Gera placed her hands over mine. I shook her hand off standing up, "they are doing all this because of William right! Fine I'll end it right now!" I yelled. "Lizzy! Calm down let's..." "please Sarah I don't want to hear it" I grabbed my phone texting William.
"I leave for London in two days time. You know I've always being blunt. I love you Will and I understand if you never want to see or hear from me again. You said no matter what you'll never forget me but you'll move on. I don't think I can though maybe after two years but right now there is no future without you in it. I know I'll cave if I see you in person so this long ass text will have to do. I love you my Valentino and I want you to be happy even if it kills me that I can't be the one. I love you a million times William and I'll never forget the passion we had".
I send it blocking him immediately. Sarah and Gera stared at me from the bed. "Come here Lizzy" I rushed into their embrace letting the tears fall. "I...I can't breathe....it hurts so....so bad" I choked out. "Calm down shhhhh calm down" Sarah pats my back. "I will never forgive them for this" "we know it's okay to be mad". "I'm not a polythene glass don't treat me like a polythene glass!" I pulled away. "Lizzy!" "No! Leave me alone of all of you just leave me the fuck alone!" I rushed out the room. "Lizzy!" "Lizzy!!" They yelled running after me. "Princess?!" dad says coming into view. I pushed pass him running outside. "Lizzy!" I heard as I ran out of the gate the guard not seeing me. I ran down the street knowing full well they were following me. I needed to get away! I tripped falling face first to the ground. "Ouch!" I cried hugging my knees and laying in the middle of the road. "Lizzy!" Gabriel carries me off the road. "Let go off me! Let go!!" I struggled hitting his chest. "I want to die let me go......" I sobbed my hits weakening. "Go to sleep Lizzy" he whispers. "Put me the fuck down!" I regained my strength immediately I realized William won't hold me like this again. "Now!" I beat his chest and his hand loosens. I slipped down out of his hold standing far away from him. "Don't you ever fucking touch me again!" "Princess!" I walked pass them heading back in the direction of the house.
Once I arrived I noticed no extra cars where present better I don't want their fake sympathies. "Lizzy!" "stay away from me" I glared at Trisha before heading to my room. Without minding my sweaty body I climbed into the bed hoping to slip away from reality for just a moment.
"I love you" green eyes told me. "You're here?" I sit up eyes watering. "Yes I'm right here" he points to my chest with his usual smile before he began to fade. "No! No no no William don't leave me please," "I'm with you my love I love you" his voice whispers before fading into darkness.
