Me and the girls walked through the house taking everything in, did we forget to mention it was a pool party? That's why we wore something we could easily take off. "Let's get drinks first". "Yeah" I followed Sarah to what could only be the kitchen. "WOW so cool," "yes it is but we are three girls living in a duplex we're not poor" I frowned. "She has a point" Gera agrees, Sarah acting starstruck about every little thing was not cool. "Fine I'm just trying to act like I give a damn I really don't" she takes a can of beer before walking out on us. "Was that" I point to her retreating form, "how I was when I broke up with William?" "Worst" Gera tossed me a drink.
"Damn!" was all I could say as we walked together through the glass door that led to the backyard where the real party was happening.
"What's up freshmen" kelvin calls from the pool, "you need to quit that" I hit his shoulders. We were cool and his a senior throwing this cool pool party, yes you heard right. We got invited by the host himself that's big in the popularity world. I took off my dress carefully not to rumble it.
"Damn girl you look fine" he whistles. Did I forget to mention his black American?
"Thanks" I slipped into the cool water with Gera by my side in her sexy black one piece.
"So how you checking the party?" he turns to me completely ignoring his friends. I knew what he was doing but the night was still young so I played along.
"It's okay really" I shrugged sipping my can of beer and checking out the attendees.
"Just okay" he scoffs. "Ummm yeah" I said keeping my eyes on Celestine's abs. The guy played basketball and was probably one of the hottest guys I had ever seen. He catches me staring and throws me a wink.
"You got the hots for my bro," right kelvin is still beside me.
"No I just think his hot" I shrugged.
"For a freshman you got some balls," I turned to him confused.
"What do you mean?"
"You have one of the hottest and richest guy on campus giving you attention and you're just waving me off you're wack" he frowns before leaving the pool.
"What?" I was dumbfounded. I'm wack really?
"Lizzy what's wrong?"
"This party sucks" I left the pool too.
"Lizzy!" Her voice fades as I took my dress and walked back into the house. Kelvin went to the other pool so I didn't need to worry about seeing him. Just because his ego was bruised doesn't give him the right to call me wack. How dare he?! I slam into someone.
"Watch where you're fucking going!" I yelled pissed.
"Hey you're the one who ran into me" the guy says. I looked up and my brain went on vacation. Light brown hair, blue eyes, sharp jawline and let's not forget abs of a Greek God. He was fucking hot.
"I'm......I'm sorry......I'm just...." I sighed and his eyes soften.
"It's okay what's got you panties in a twist?"
"Bro nobody uses that anymore".
"Black america?"
"No. I'm I not white enough?" I looked down at my exposed skin. I haven't worn my dress back yet.
"You are it was a joke" he chuckles. Wow even his laugh was amazing.
"Oh!" I gasped as he pulled me into his chest.
"Sorry someone almost ran into you" he smiles still holding my waist.
"Do you want to go somewhere quiet?" If you were wondering who asked it was me.
"Sure" he turns around pulling me up the stairs. We ran into all kinds off stuff on the way. Once we got to the top floor. He pushed the first door open revealing a neatly made bed. I placed my folded gown on the chair close by before sitting on the bed.
"I don't even know your name?" I laughed and he chuckles too before replying.
"Eli".
"Eli" I tried it grinning like a fool. The rest was history but I would tell you on the scale of one to ten he was a solid 9. William was the only ten and like I said he had bonus points because I was in love with him.
Sun rays flew through the open curtains and landed on my close eye lids. I felt before I saw. Eli had his arms around me as he laid his head on my breast. I smiled softly before remembering it was a one night stand. To think I was totally done with that. I pushed him away. I mean apart from his name I knew nothing about the guy.
"Morning" he shots up.
"Morning Eli" I said slipping out of the bed.
"You're leaving?"
"Umm yeah" I said wearing my now dry bikini.
"Do you want to get coffee later or something?" He smiles leaning on his elbow watching me get dressed.
"Getting to know each other? isn't it alittle pass that" I joked. He laughs before grinning.
"I'm taking that as a yes".
"You're a bold one aren't you" I chuckled now fully dressed.
"Wow! You look lovely".
"I look thoroughly fucked but thanks".
"So blunt I like that".
"I'm glad. Hand me your phone". He picks it from beside the bed handing it to me. I typed my number in.
"Call me" I winked before leaving the room. Leaning on the closed door to catch my breath before walking down. I rang my friends on a conference call as I went down.
"Fuck Lizzy I'm wasted" Sarah calls out.
"Good for you where are you?" I thought I heard shuffling before she sighs.
"I'm still at the party".
"Well meet me by the front door".
"You're still here?"
"Yeah" I hanged up. I was worried for Gera since she didn't pick up. I passed a cleaning crew on my way to the porch. Some people were sprung out on the couch and floor asleep. I avoided contact finding my way out of the house. Sarah joins me few minutes later.
"God! I was so wasted I don't even know who I woke up beside this morning" she groans massaging her head.
"I do" I shrugged.
"Oh!" She grins tilling her head at me.
"It's nothing. Have you heard from Gera?" I looked at my phone like her name would just pop up on the caller tone.
"No".
"Ummm. She's not picking my calls".
"Should we go back and check all the rooms?"
"Really Sarah. Do you want to be scarred for life? I'll call a cab" I rolled my eyes at her. After calling a cab I saw a text from an unknown number and clicked it.
Hey it's Eli. I don't want to come off as desperate 😂😂 but do you want to hang out later today when you're not nursing a hangover.
"Why are you smiling?"
"What?" I looked up at her.
"Lizzy" she raised her brows.
"It's nothing". I placed my phone back in my purse. She gave me the this isn't over look and I was saved by the cab. We climbed into the vehicle and he drove off.
