"Hey guys." I called out before seating beside Emma.

"Hey Liz" Emma replys. Sarah and Gera were arguing.

"What's going on?"

"I have no idea, this has being going on since we got home." Emma shrugs looking at the girls before looking back at the tv. I followed in her footsteps, leaning comfortably into the couch and watching the movie. When the movie ends, we all head to the kitchen to make dinner.

"We might be getting a new roommate."

"Really who?"

"Quinn."

"Quinn? As in the nerd you're tutoring?"

"Yes her."

"Why would you want her to live with us?" Sarah asks and the others stared also waiting for an answer.

"She's a nice girl and she's in a tight spot right now." I kept my explanation brief.

"Okay whatever." They shrugged and we kept the conversation light. We sat down for dinner and I couldn't help value it more. Many people don't have the opportunities to eat so freely and it's a honor I do. When I got to my room I strolled through Instagram for a while before a notification from Gloria pops up. Clicking on it, I let a smile grace my face. My aunt wanted us girls to get together for lunch. I quickly sent my reply before going over Instagram again. I was stalking William, I had being doing it for years now but it wasn't really informative. I knew Will enough to know he was a very quiet person, but the media wasn't so not seeing any pictures of him with a woman relaxed me.
Tuesday morning, I had only one morning class before I met the family at a cafe/diner. I shared this class with Emma. After two hours of aimless doodling, I was out of the school building. The drive to the diner was stupidly long. I had never being to this part of town before, my GPS was my guidance. This must be were the rich stayed. I drove pass countless business enterprises, the firm Gloria worked at included. She must have chose this location because she obviously knew this area well.

A two storey building was my destination. It looked like they had a rooftop setting, mostly for the hopeless romantics. I drove through the gates finding a quick spot to park. After paying for my parking space, I handed the valet my car keys. If I knew I was going to such an exclusive place I would have stopped home to change. Looking down at my black jeans and cream sweater, I felt so out of place, which hardly ever happened. I texted Gloria to inform her of my presence and she texted back, letting me know they were waiting on the second floor. I took the stairs since it was only one floor. Getting out of the lift, I attracted some attention from fellow diners. The ladies looked me over like I was a nasty gum under their shoes. Pissed, I kept my head held high walking towards our table. There they sat dressed in fancy dinner gowns.

"Why didn't you guys tell me it was a formal dinning?" I frowned, slipping into the vacant seat beside Gladys. We side hugged as I stared at Gloria.

"I forgot" she shrugs. That's weird. Why did she react like that? It's so unlike Gloria, maybe marriage stress?

"Aunty!" I grinned.

"Lizzy dear." Aunt Mary reached across the table and we hugged. "You look lovely" she added.

"Thanks, the weather is favorable." I joked and she chuckled heartily.

"Let's order then shall we?" Okay now I'm lost. Since when did aunt Mary become so polished? She didn't even go to college. I shook those thoughts away, picking up my menu.

"So Lizzy, London?" She asked while looking at her own menu.

"I miss home but I don't find London so bad" I smiled.

"I'm glad, all I want is for you to be happy."

"Thanks" I blushed. There was a few minutes of silence before Gladys spoke up.

"So Gloria, you're really going ahead with this wedding." She joked but I saw Gloria's eyes twitch.

"Yes Gladys I love him."

"Well too bad, you're going to live a boring life, right Lizzy?" She smirks.

"Peter is not that bad Gladys, you should really get to know him." I smiled and she pulls back slightly to get a good look at my face.

"See Lizzy acting all grown up" she chuckles. I rolled my eyes but felt pride swell in my chest.

"Lizzy, the tailor said your dress has being altered, so please drop by to make sure there's no more mistakes" Gloria sighs.

"Sure I will. So aunt how is Las Vegas?" Gloria stills and Gladys looked away.

"Oh Lizzy dear" aunt Mary sighs. I looked at her confused. "I live like a fucking pupper there, excuse my language" she chuckles.

"Pupper?"

"Yes, and to think I have a filthy rich brother" she scoffs. "It's all Trisha's fault, she came into his life and separated him from his family. I know he takes care of his nieces, paying their college fees and all but what about me? I gave up my education for him and he couldn't even buy me a house" she rants wiping what I could imagine as fake tears. Did she just slander my parents? I looked at my cousins who avoided my gazes. Aunt Mary must have read the room.

"Oh Lizzy don't take it the wrong way, I still very much love your parents." She reached for my hands. Right now she looked like the friendly aunt I knew but few seconds prior she reminded me of my mother's people. Greedy and selfish. I gave her a fake smile not knowing what to say.

"Let's order." Gloria pressed the button on the table. We were silent until a waitress arrived and took our order. When she was gone, Aunt Mary spoke again.

"Gloria when I'm I meeting Peter's people?"

"At the wedding" Gloria frowns.

"What!" Aunt shrieks. Some people glanced our way. I was seeing a side of aunt I had never seen before and it kind off scared me.

"Mom please compose yourself." Gloria scoffs.

"I think I need more wine" Aunty grumbles, "Lizzy can you believe your cousin?" She faces me.

"I'm sure Gloria has a reasonable explanation for this" I pacified her.

"I wish! She just doesn't want to introduce me as her mother, she's embarrassed off me" aunt Mary sighs looking down. I knew Peter's family were well acquainted in Italy but I doubted Gloria was ashamed of her own mother.

"Be a drama queen you're still not meeting my in-laws before the wedding period."

"Gloria!" I gasped. I felt Gladys hand on mine under the table. I glanced at her but she shakes her head. What the hell is going on?
