The leg exercises weren't much of a hassle. Mostly just bending the knees over and over until I got more comfortable doing it it myself. Samantha lightly pushed my leg up in a bent position before stretching it back down again as Whiskers followed her movement with his gaze whilst curled up next to my pillow. She smiles confidently, "you're doing great so far," she compliments before straightening herself up. "Now, ready to try and stand on your feet?" She questioned. I glance over to Liu who smiles almost proudly. "Ready as I'll ever be..." I nervously laugh. "That's the spirit!" Samantha shortly laugh before lightly grabbing my ankle. "Alright, I'll go slowly." She states. Next thing I know, she's slowly moving my ankle to the edge of the bed before doing the same to the other. Alright, so far so good. Liu proudly watches with a smile plastered on his face as Samantha grabs my hands to allow me and sit on the edge of the bed, my feet dangling only a few feet from the ground. Samantha shortly glances down before looking back up into my eyes. "Ready?" Her eyes held an excited spark. It's like she's excited for me, since, I'm not that excited. I reply with a nod. Samantha confirms my reply with a hum and slowly pulls me off the bed. I hesitantly place a foot on the ground. Good thing this hospital provided me socks, or else my feet would be freezing cold from the marbled floor. I place my other foot on the ground, only to have my legs completely lose all strength in them and I tumble forwards. Poor little Samantha holds me with all her strength, trying to keep me on my feet. "H-Haha, easy now." She struggles a bit to push me back into a standing position. I utter an apology to her, which she probably didn't hear from how soft I said it. Liu stands up, sheepishly smiling at the short nurse. "Uh, do you need any help?" He offers.

Samantha was holding me by my forearms, keeping me in place as my legs wobbled. I didn't know walking would be this hard. Samantha casts a quick glance towards Liu. "W-Well, if you wouldn't mind..." She nervously laughs. I don't blame her, she's shorter than me and I'm not that light for someone like her, either. Liu smiles and carefully places his hands near where Samantha was holding me, allowing Sam to release her grip. She lets out a breath and takes a step back, allowing Liu to get a better grip on my arms. She clasps her hand together and opens her mouth to say something, until she was interrupted by a small device vibrating in her pocket. She purses her lips shortly, looking over to Liu. "I need to attend other patients. Mind taking over my work and help her a bit while I'm gone?" Sam smiles sweetly, to which Liu nods in agreement. "Of course. I'll help her out." He states. Samantha shows her gratitude with a smile before she says her goodbye. She scurries out of the room like she usually does, leaving Liu to help me regain my walking abilities. Liu clears his throat, snapping me back into reality only to make me realize that I had been staring down to my feet the entire time. I glance up, meeting with his confident gaze that was determined to make me walk. "Are you able to take a step?" He asks. I swallow dryly, looking down to my white socks before sliding a foot forward.

It's not an actual step, but it's close enough. I slide my other foot forward as Liu takes a step back so he can hold me steady. I wrap my fingers around a piece of fabric from Liu's sleeve, giving me a safer feeling, knowing I wouldn't fall easily like this. "So far, so good." Liu chuckles softly. I suck in a breath nervously casting glances between Liu and my feet. I decide to move my hands from his arms up to his shoulders, just so I could get a better grip. He's a lot taller than me, which makes me stretch up my arms as much as I could to actually reach his shoulder. I hear him laugh at my attempt, but he doesn't complain. He slowly let's go of my arms, only striking panic through my mind. "Don't let go!" I squeak. Liu quickly shoots his hands to my waist, holding me firmly in place. I probably scared him from my sudden yelp, making him think I was going to fall. He lets out a breath before smiling. "I won't let you fall, don't worry." He smiles. I roll my lips once. I have to put my trust in him. "Let's try again," Liu keeps his hands planted on my waist before taking a small step back, making my grip almost slip from his shoulders if I didn't stretch my arms out a bit more. I breathe in before slightly lifting up one of my feet, placing it just a bit in front of me. Now I'm making actual progress. I repeat the action with my other foot, allowing me to release the breath I was holding.
