I'm not sure for how long I've been walking around these dark woods. All I know is that I'm completely soaked from head to toe and the woods were even darker than before. I assume I've been out for hours now and still didn't manage to find the entrance or exit of these woods. In all honesty, I was starting to give up. Those who wandered too deep in the forest ended up being found dead or just not found at all. Guess that's going to be my case. The back of my knees started aching, which only meant that I had to take a break just in case a wound would open back up somehow. I decide to take a seat underneath one of those big trees, resting my back against the bark. I pull up my knees and wrap my arms around my legs, resting my chin on them. I tug at my shirt that's sticking to my skin, loosening it up from my body. This- This sucks. I should've followed Toby's rule of not singing. That's what lead Liu to me. I sniff, wiping my tired and reddened eyes. What did I do to get involved in all this? I don't deserve this, do I? My mind spirals into a pit of dark thoughts. My throat tightens up as I try my best to blink my tears away. I'm such an idiot. I should've been quiet. I should've listened to Toby. Stupid, stupid-
"Hey, you lost?"
My breath suddenly hitches at my throat as I tilt my head up at the sudden sound. Someone's standing in front of me, presumably a male. His hands were buried into the pockets of his white hoodie. His face was covered up by his large hood, hiding any features that belonged to his face. I noticed his dry, choppy looking hair droop down from his shoulders. Have I seen him before? I know I have, he looks so familiar. Yet, I can't put my finger on it. "Kind of," I choke out, wiping my cheeks with my wet sleeves. I heard a raspy chuckle emit from his throat before he took out one of his hands from his pocket, offering me assistance. Just as I was about to accept this kind stranger's offer, I noticed something odd. His hand was pale. Not like a natural pale, but pure white. A human could never have this type of skin color naturally. I retracted my hand hesitantly. "I know the way out. I could help you out." He states simply, stuffing his hand back into his pocket. He seemed fine at first, but now he's just giving me this weird vibe. I'm not liking it. "Um- I-... Thank you, but I'll be fine." I stammered in an unsure way, nervously clutching the rim of my shirt. I can feel the eyes of the stranger scan over me. I shift uncomfortably. Should I get up and go? Should I just stay here? The stranger finally straightened himself up and shrugged his shoulders. "Suit yourself." His voice had this amusing tone to it. I was expecting him to walk off and disappear from my sight. I was hoping he would do that. I was suddenly caught by surprise when his foot collided with my chest, forcing my back to lay flat on the wet soil. I let out a gasp, feeling his heavy weight nearly crush my rib cage and lungs. I was in no condition to fight, let alone struggle. Still, I tried everything I could to get him off me. Flailing my legs, punching his leg, but all my attempts looked pathetic. His hand fished something out of his pocket. I could identify the object to be a rather sharp, blood stained kitchen knife.
My breathing became uneven as I desperately tried to control my nerves. The male got down onto his knees, straddling my waist by placing knees on either side of me before gripping the bottom of my face harshly. "I'd usually end it quickly, but since I got time to spare, I might as well enjoy it." He let out a dry laugh before tightly gripping the sides of my face. I could finally see his face which was shaded by his hoodie. His lips held a permanent smile by two deep and long cuts running from the corners up to almost his ears. His eyes were dead- basically dull looking. But they had this insane glare in them. A terrifying look of a man that had lost all their sanity. "Open up," He grinned, forcing his fingers into my mouth enough to pry my lips apart. I tried to bite down or shut my mouth out of reflex, but his hands were far too strong. I felt him place the sharpened side of the knife inside my mouth, putting it against the corners of my lips. "You'll look beautiful in no time!" He lets out a cackle before swiftly moving the blade up and down against my skin. I didn't even scream in fear that he'd end up plunging the knife down my throat. I felt a small trickle of blood drift into my mouth and onto my tongue. The metallic taste wasn't too strong, considering it was a small amount of blood, but it was still disgusting. I screw my eyes shut. There's nothing I can do. If I just think about something else, maybe it'll numb the pain. I thought about my family, my friends, anything that made me happy. From cute animals to a beautiful scenery. It didn't even take a second for me to not feel any pain anymore. In fact, I couldn't even feel his weight on me anymore. Just to be sure I wasn't already dead, I opened up my eyes to see the male on the ground next to me, scrambling to get back up onto his feet. I was confused and about to process what the hell happened before I heard a voice that most likely belonged to a child.
