"There. All nice and warm, huh?"

Masky tucks the covers of my bed underneath my arms and legs so that I'm comfortably wrapped up. I've been trying to play it cool so he leaves. I haven't cried for the past few minutes, let alone said anything to him. Inside, however, I was still shaking. My mind still went to the most terrible scenarios of what could happen to me. I suddenly feel Masky's hand touch my cheek, making me flinch from the sudden contact. He gently caresses my cheek, placing a kiss on my forehead whilst doing so. He grabs one of my hands that were above the covers and simply holds it in his grip. I glance over to him. He looks relieved. Happy and relaxed, maybe. The exact contrary of how I'm feeling. "I'll keep you safe, sunshine." He holds my hand against his cheek with a seemingly reassuring smile. Yeah, yeah. Keeping me 'safe' until he finally goes crazy and end my life like he did with other innocent women. He finds comfort in my touch, placing a kiss on the back of my hand. He won't leave anytime soon unless I do something. He places my hand back down onto the covers, intertwining his fingers with mine. A sudden light from the outside brightened up my room for a split seconds before it was followed by an almost earsplitting crash, making me fear for my safety. A rush of panic came over me as I quickly ducked for cover underneath the warm blankets on top of me, shoving my face into the safety of my pillow. The rain pattered against the glass of my window as the audible wind ran past the leaves of trees. The weather outside looked like something out of a cliche movie. You know, the ones that include tropical storms and such- but this is irrelevant at the moment. I hear a soft chuckle erupting from Masky as I feel the weight of his hand on top of my head. "It's just thunder," Masky states the obvious fact, petting the top of my head. Yeah, no kidding. But you know, being already panicked because of a certain murderer and adding sudden loud noises doesn't make for the best combination.

But hey, now that I think about it, I could use this weather to my advantage. I carefully peek from under the covers, finding Masky simply smiling at my actions. "Masky-" "Tim." He cuts me off. Ah, he's back to that, huh? Fine, as long as I get him out of here... "Tim, Liu is still out there." I point out, glancing at the thunderstorm right outside my window. Masky arches a brow. "So?" He utters out, shifting himself into a more comfortable sitting position on the edge of my bed. "You should go get him. He's going to get sick, I don't want that to happen to him." I state with a frown. Masky purses his lips and looks out the window, rather debating whether he should go out in the dark, stormy weather just to find his so called 'partner'. "Please?" I add in a plead, willingly grabbing his hand to pursue him further. He shortly looks into my begging eyes before letting out a sigh of defeat. He stands up from the bed as I release his hand. He opens up one flap of his jacket, pulling out his signature mask from one of his inside pockets. "Fine, fine," He sighs, wrapping the strap of his mask over his head, placing the mask on top of his hair. He bends down next to me to smooch me on the forehead once more before smiling. "I'll be back soon, sunshine. Love you." His voice purrs before he pulls his mask over his face, concealing his true identity. With that said, he left my room and exited out my apartment, shutting the door which confirmed the fact that he left. I immediately threw the covers off of myself and jumped out of bed. My adrenaline was back to going crazy. I don't know how much time I got, but the earlier I leave the better. I tip-toe to my door and look out the tiny peeping hole, seeing Masky walking further and further away until he disappears into the elevator. I let out a relieved sigh. Just wait a few more minutes until he's gone for sure and then book it. But where? Where do I go? Where do I stay the night? I've already stayed at Logan's, I can't return there anymore. It's either to go to Samantha for help or be homeless. But it would be too obvious if I head straight to Samantha's. Maybe going from city to city by foot would be my only option. Or...

I took a long drag from my cigarette before blowing out a cloud of smoke which quickly dissolved in the rain. Damn this shitty fucking weather. If Liu just followed the plan from the beginning, I wouldn't be here in the first place. I didn't like the idea of leaving (Y/n) all alone, but since she urged me to find Liu, I couldn't really resist. It's difficult for me to say no when she pulls off that innocent expression of hers. I sigh irritably, throwing the smoking stick from between my fingers onto the ground. S'not easy smoking in the middle of a thunderstorm. I push my mask back down over my face and glance around. If I don't find Liu in about ten minutes, I'm leaving him be. He can handle himself just fine and find his way back. I pull the collar of my jacket further up to warm myself up a bit more. It's freezing out here. The unforgiving cold just nips at my exposed skin as I try to keep myself shielded from the cold. I let out a sigh, running a hand through my hair to move any hairs stuck onto my forehead due to the rain. I walk down the street, occasionally glancing from left to right. No one in sight. Who would be outside in this weather, anyway? I grunt before looking up ahead. Coincidentally, I managed to make it to the hospital. Maybe that fucker is hiding in there with that one nurse. Shit- I forgot her name, too. I shake my head and sigh. Whatever, I know how she looks like, I can just go in there and ask for her at the reception. Maybe she's seen Liu. I pull my mask off and shove it into my jacket before making my way into the hospital. I'm soaked from head to toe as I walk inside the building. My shoes made an annoying squeaking sound against the marbled floor with each step I took due to the wet sole. I drag myself over to the receptionist, which happens to be a female. Just a detail I thought to take note of. She gives me the usual forced smile and asks what I need help with.
