As soon as I step into his home, I feel something soft and fleshy rub against my leg. Looking down, I realize that it's nothing but a mere cat. It was purring, rubbing itself across my leg while it walked in circles. Masky was up ahead in the open kitchen, placing the things that we bought on the counter. I really do love animals, but I'm afraid to actually do something to the cat that might trigger the owner. Liu seems to laugh at his overly loving and friendly cat. "Don't worry, he doesn't bite. You can pet him, if you want." Liu grins before walking his way past me. I smile a bit in what seems for the first time in forever as I bend down to my knees, gently stroking the cat's head. My hand trails from its head to its body, repeating the same actions over and over as the cat purrs happily, occasionally head-butting my hand. Masky and Liu were near the kitchen, talking about things that I didn't bother to pay attention to. I was too busy playing with the cat. Cute little furry creatures just made my mind be at peace. The cat rolled over to its side, allowing me to rub its fluffy side. Its soft purrs were so soothing and comforting. Just as I was enjoying my time, I suddenly felt a shadow loom over my small frame. I quickly look up, only to see Masky with his arms crossed over his chest. My peaceful mood was immediately replaced by a more scared one as I quickly scrambled up to my feet, leaving the cat mewling for attention. "S-Sorry." I stammered out a quick apology. I wasn't sure why I apologized, I guess it just seemed the right thing to do at that moment. Masky hummed and grabbed my wrist without a warning. "Come on, we're going to our room to settle in." He stated as he forced me to walk along with him up to the second floor. "Our" room? Am I supposed to share a room with him?! There were multiple doors on the second floor, and Masky was leading me to the one further in the back. My nervousness increased as he lead me inside the room, shutting the door behind him.
"Finally," He breathed out tiredly, slipping his white mask off his face. The room itself wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. It had a basic looking king-sized bed with two pair of nightstands on either side of the bed. The room had a rather large closet. Pretty sure a family of 10 could fit all their clothes in just this one closet. I rub my eyes and let out a yawn. As much as I didn't want to admit it, I felt exhausted just from sitting in a driving car. But the idea of sleeping in the same bed as Masky just gave me the chills. I feel really uncomfortable with the idea of sleeping beside him, but if that's what keeps me from being killed, I guess I have to take it. "Hey," I hear Masky call out for me. I jump from his sudden words and quickly turn around towards his direction. He was already sitting on his side of the bed, his back resting on the bed frame behind him. "S-Sorry, sorry!" I apologize and hurry over to him, which is what I was expecting that he wanted. I'm not the person to apologize a lot, but with a monster next to me, I wouldn't take the chance of not apologizing. I guess fear is what made me do that constantly. I kick off my shoes and unzip the jacket, hanging it on the bed frame, before unwillingly stepping into bed next to Masky. Masky snickers a bit and playfully flicks my forehead. "You really need to stop apologizing." He states. "R-Right, um, sor-" I cut myself off short before I can finish my sentence. Masky lets out a lighthearted laugh, shaking his head. "Relax, you look way too stressed." Masky points out, lightly ruffling my hair. Pulling the covers over my lap, I keep my eyes fixated on my hands. I want to look anywhere but him.
A pair of fingers suddenly grip the bottom of my chin, forcing my head to be tilted up and look over to Masky. I refrain from letting out a gasp, noticing how close his face actually is to mine. He flashes a smile, one that reminds me so much of the Tim I previously knew. "I'm sorry I dragged you into this." He starts. I swallow nervously. What am I supposed to say? 'It's okay, I totally don't mind you kidnapping me and taking me to the middle of nowhere.'? Of course not. "You understand why I need to keep you safe, right?" He lightly cocks his head to the side, as if questioning me. I nod without hesitation. I don't know the exact reason on why he's keeping me with him. Hell, I don't even know if he's 'protecting' me from anything. Masky hums. "Good." He lightly purred. Just as I thought he was done with his short chit-chat, he starts leaning in. My face heats up. What is he doing?! My heart starts thumping loudly against my chest. I'm pretty sure he could even hear my fastened heartbeat. His thumb lightly brushed over my lower lip. I want to pull away, I really do. But something just keeps me frozen in my spot. My breath stops for a moment just as Masky's lips brush over mine. Just before Masky places his lips on top of mine, he moves his lips up to the tip of my nose and presses a kiss on there. A smirk spreads over his lips as he pulls back. "G'night, princess. Sleep tight."
