I release a yawn as I discreetly flip through the multiple dollar bills in my possession. I lost count through half of it, but from what I remembered so far I have at least two thousand and more along with the uncounted dollar bills. Which means if a few hundred go to the phone, a twenty or thirty for a backpack and a few extra dollars for food and clothes, I'll be left with enough to settle in somewhere and find a job to start over. Now that I got everything planned, I walk into the welcoming mall that blasted muffled sounding music from some speakers nearby. Alright, first things first, find a phone. Considering there are so many stores around, I can't find one that sells electronics. So the most logical thing to do is to find an indoor map, which was right besides the entrance. Lucky me. I take a quick skim over the entire map before spotting the electronics store, which happened to be on the second floor. Memorizing that fact, I walk over to one of the escalators to ascend to the second floor. As I'm slowly being taken up by the escalating steps, I take my time to look around. The mall is pretty big, it's surprising that it's not filled to the brim with dozens of people. Sure, a few were around here and there, but comparing to what I've seen, it's pretty empty. It's pretty early, anyway. That's probably one of the main reasons why there are so little people. I step off the escalator once I'm on the second floor and head to the direction of the electronics store. I shouldn't get an all too expensive phone, but also not too cheap like one of those thick, square phones people used to own. With the ideal phone image in my mind, I enter the store, being greeted by one of the workers as I walk inside. My reply is a simple smile without any words. They say smiles speak a thousand words, right? Anyway, I walk to the aisles where they keep the display of multiple phones and I go through each one of them. Or- well, the ones that catch my eye.
Most of them were over the top expensive. Overpriced, one would say. So I blew off the most expensive ones and kept my gaze on the ones that leaned to the cheaper side. They looked just as good as the expensive ones, so what's there to lose? I settle on a touchscreen phone, almost similar to the old one I used to own but just slightly bigger. It had the same features, maybe just a couple more than my old one. I catch one of the workers' attention for them to grab me the same model as the display. It barely two minutes before they're back with a brand new phone sealed inside a small box. With the box in my hands, I walk to the cashier to pay off my brand new device. Alright, $300 or so off the stack. I exit the store with a plastic bag around my arm with my new phone in it. I take the box out of the bag and open it up. I might as well set it up to be functioning already. It takes a minute or two, but soon enough I had synced my old account with this new phone so I still have my contacts from before. Now that that's done, what else do I need...? I run through the list I had memorized in my head. Clothes, a backpack and some food, of course.
Let's get this done quickly...

With a hand cupping over his cigarette, Masky uses his other hand to light up the stick that hung from his lips. "Do you always carry a pack of cigarettes, a lighter and a damn gun with you at all times?" Liu arched a brow, mainly directing the question as a sarcastic one. Masky didn't seem to catch up on it, "yeah, 'cept for the gun." he bluntly responded as he took a long drag from his cigarette, puffing the smoke out into thin air. Liu scrunched his nose at the smell and tried his best to ignore it. Here they were, in the shadiest part of the entire town, walking around and trying to look for one normal human being. Liu had parked his motorcycle a few feet away, all he had to do was hope nobody would vandalize it while they were on their little mission. Masky grabbed his phone out of his pocket, checking one more time if there was any sort of article that had to do with (Y/n). Nothing appeared besides the car crash article, which they had already read before. "I still think it's ridiculous," Liu suddenly stated, making Masky shift his gaze from the phone over to his taller friend. He arches a questioning brow, "what is?"
