I felt a hand firmly grip my shoulder, making me flinch. Is it over? I pry my eyes open with difficulty to meet with a pair of brown ones that blankly stared me down. My first instinct was to eye his body, checking for any signs of injury. Nothing. I eyed my own body next, only to find out that I'm... I'm perfectly fine. I didn't even realize Masky had already gotten a hold of the gun I had in my grip. His eyes traveled over to the side before he looked back at me. "We should go." he simply states. What- why? I shift my gaze over to where he briefly glanced to and I felt sick almost immediately. My stomach churned as my eyes landed upon the splatters of blood against my walls and floor. The ground beneath me was the biggest mess of all. A trail of scarlet liquid led all the way to a motionless body on the floor. My eyes caught the dull stare of a pair of wide green hues that had the life sucked out of them. My head started spinning, my body ran cold and it felt as if my heart had stopped beating.

Oh God.

There he was. The once shy, yet lovable man that had bright emerald eyes laid on the ground with a clear hole embed onto his forehead. I wanted to scream, cry, run, but I can't. I felt glued to my spot and I couldn't shift my gaze away from the dead body. I did that. I pulled the trigger and I killed him. I took someone's precious life. Someone who could've had so many more years ahead of them. Oh, God- no, no. "L-Liu...?" I meekly cry out desperately. Maybe- maybe there's still a way. There has to be, right? I can help him. I can do something.

"You're being delusional."

Masky's harsh voice nearly makes me jump in place. No, he's wrong. I can do something. I can...- Helpless tears run down my cheeks as I sink down to my knees. I can't move my gaze from his dead orbs. My hands tremble before I plant them down on the floor to keep my balance. I feel like I can pass out any moment. Masky simply paces around the living room, cautiously peeking out of one of the windows. Masky briefly looks over his shoulder before he opens up his jacket to take out his mask. He secures the string over his head before adjusting his signature mask in front of his face. While I'm too busy mourning over an already dead body, Masky heads over next to me before bending down, balancing himself on his heels. He looks at the body before turning his attention to me. "Someone already called the cops. I saw the lights in the distance," Masky states, shifting his mask just above his lips to sound more clear, "and you wouldn't want to get caught, would you, sunshine?" a smirk etched itself onto his lips as he gave one of my shoulders a soft squeeze. "So, I'm giving you a choice." Masky hoists himself up, pushing his mask back down over his mouth. "You can stay here and get caught. Maybe spend your entire life in prison, who knows?" Masky shrugs, glancing my way. I wasn't looking at him, but I sure was listening, and he knew that. "Or," he adds after a prolonged pause, "you can come with me." he offers. At this point, I manage to detach my eyes from the deceased to look up at Masky. "I'll take care of you. I'll keep you safe. You're never going to have to worry about another thing ever again." He states confidently. I hesitate. Would it really be better to stay in a prison that provide small, uncomfortable cells along with disgusting food? Or would it be better to just stay with a psychopathic murderer that claims that he'll take care of you? I sniff, wiping my cheeks that are stained with tears. It's a lose-lose situation at this point. The familiar sirens of some deputy could be heard closing in.

At this point, I started internally panicking. It's either jail for eternity or stay with a killer. I'll take my chances. I felt shame crawl up my back as I extended my hand to Masky, which was enough for him to get his answer. Even with the mask on, I could tell he was pleased with my answer. He grasps my hand before helping me back onto my unstable feet. My knees were trembling as Masky took no time to waste and dragged me out the door. I almost stumbled over my feet as he dragged me out through the emergency exit which consisted out of flights of stairs. Opening the door to the emergency exit caused an almost ear shattering fire alarm to ring throughout the entire apartment.

You'll learn to love me. (Yandere! Masky x reader)Where stories live. Discover now
