"Hmm! You know, I can't say I'm surprised that it's a book, but thank you. I really wasn't expecting a book about bands and music from like a thousand years ago. A book on the 80s... that's son hood music right there! Thanks Iida!" It was Kyoka Jirou's birthday, and per insistence, as soon as everyone was finished with breakfast she would go through everyone's presents for her. She wasn't really expecting everyone to get her something but she's been wonderfully surprised with what everyone has gotten her so far.

Momo went ahead and bought her a karaoke machine.

Midoriya found her a poster of one of her favorite bands: O.A.R

Tsu got Jirou some rubber pencil toppers because Jirou often bites her erasures.

Sato made some cookies for her in the shape of guitars; because Jirou isn't a cake person.

Shoji's gift was a little more creative, he got her tickets to a The Regrets concert, and he teased that she would have to let him come with her because there were two tickets after all. (I recently discovered this band and they have a concert literally this Thursday! so heres one of their songs in case you havent heard of them)

Todoroki, his simple soul, seemingly have forgotten to get something and went out last minute, had returned with a container of cold soba. She thanked him anyways and suggested they eat their cold soba together at lunch. Shoto smiled softly with a nod before he left the room.

Everyone laughed at the present, not because of what it was, but just because it was a very Shoto Todoroki thing to do.

Aoyama bought her some glittery makeup and a very sparkly pair of heeled boots, claiming she needs more dazzle in her life.✨✨😮‍💨👌🏾

Ochako is the queen of snacks, so thats exactly what Jirou received from Ochako, from sodas ti candies, nuts about anything to rot your teeth was in the box Uraraka placed on the table for Kyoka.

The singer went through everyone's gifts great full and was finally coming down to the group of friends she finds herself hanging around sometimes. It was the BakuSquad, and they were the last people to bring up their gifts, one of them was being unusually shy.

Mina had gotten Jirou an Anti-social Social Club hoodie in black. Jirou thanked the pink girl through chuckles. Next up was Kirishima, the poor soul probably confused on what to get the girl with earphone jacks, so as his gift to her he purchased her a band shirt for a singer that she had heard of but never actually listened to. She thanked him and promised herself to listen to his music.

Bakugou went out and bought her a whole new guitar, he said it played perfectly fine but it's more of an aesthetic or decoration thing. He claimed he thought it would look cool in her room since she already had a bunch of Instruments in her walls. But it was also really sweet because he obviously thought about getting her something he wouldn't have to worry about her not liking it not using. It matched the color theme of her room pretty well and she quickly tuned it and played a few chords.

Next up was Sero, who had gotten her a hat. It was a fun little fedora, that Sero admitted he had gotten her because he thought she would wear it. She would confirm that the fedora in fact would be placed on her head from time to time.

Finally it was Kaminaris turn. He handed her a binder as his hands shook. He seemed jittery ans she wondered why. It was a fabric binder with a zipper, ans when she opened it up she was surprised. The first few pages, or sleeves, were full of discs. They looked much like music discs but were obviously clear and then painted. Each painting was of one of their classmates, and the one of Jirou was at the very front. Following the painted discs were some music ones of her favorite bands. (Think of like Metallica, P!ATD and like Slipnot and Guns N' Roses)

She smiled as she flipped through the two pages worth of old band songs that she had grown up listening to. She was just about to thank him when she noticed a single disc at the very back. The cover was very simple, white with the word Maybe, on it.

"What's this?" She asked, confused because it told her nothing about the band the album or the subverting general.

"I, Um... thanks to you teaching me guitar and all, I've been practicing a little more..." her eyes widened in realization.

"Wait do you mean?"

"I've been working on some like covers for some popular songs and I made a couple myself. One of them is called Maybe which is why it says maybe on the disc." The class was in utter shock.

" Play it! Play it! Play It!" came the sudden chanting of Mina, a  few others joined in excitedly. Jirou looked to Kaminari to ask if it was alright and he gave her a soft nod; obviously a little worried for everyone to hear his voice.

(these are the cover songs, because i think they sound like denkis dub voice actor)

The group gasped at the biggining, Denki swayed on the balls of his feet nervously as they listened to the song on the radio they kept in the kitchen

The group looked almost guilty as they listened to the last cover, still surprised by how well he sang, but saddened that he felt like he had no one to confide in. there was a small break before they heard Kaminari begin tp speak.

" 𝕊𝕠 𝕀 𝕕𝕖𝕔𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕠 𝕡𝕦𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕒𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕠𝕘𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣 𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕦𝕥𝕖. 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕥𝕨𝕠 𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕙𝕤 𝕠𝕣 𝕤𝕠 𝕀'𝕧𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝕣𝕖𝕔𝕠𝕣𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕘 𝕔𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕤 𝕀'𝕧𝕖 𝕕𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟 𝕒 𝕗𝕖𝕨 𝕀'𝕧𝕖 𝕞𝕒𝕕𝕖. ℍ𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕪 𝕓𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕙𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕁𝕚𝕣𝕠𝕦 𝕀 𝕙𝕠𝕡𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤."
And soon after a soft melody began to play:
