Maybe an Idiot

flashback:

Warning- more mean Bakugou and Jirou.

"Jirou is right. Maybe if you actually put some effort into studying and getting your work done on time then your grades would be higher." Iida scolded Denki. The blonde was close to tears.

"Hahaha, can't they see I'm trying?!" He exclaimed to himself in a near whisper, his voice fading off into a whine. He blinked away the oncoming tears.

"You need to stop being so lazy Kaminari." Jirou started. Denki knew she was only going to insult him more so he decided to speak up a little;

"I'm not Lazy; I'm Stupid. There's a Difference." *Well that didn't come out right-*

"That's not an excuse! If you actually just took a literal 10 minutes to study you wouldn't be stupid in the first place!" She decided to reclaim. "All you do is play video games and tell jokes! There's nothing beneficial in doing that!"

"All play but never work; maybe that's my Bluff," *come on why can't they just leave me alone! All I wanted to do was okay my guitar-*

Denki turned to stare at his guitar beside him. He knew he would only get in more trouble but maybe playing out his woes would help.

Originally Denki had gone upstairs grabbed his guitar and decided to play it on the couch. He had made sure to tune the acoustic instrument as a precaution before playing, but that seemed to bring more attention to himself as he turned plucked, and strummed at the strings. Jirou initiated the attack; removing Denkis's guitar from his hands, giving him a glance, and stating how:

'you need to be somewhere else; not on the couch, not in your room playing video games. You should study for once dumbass!'

"Sorry sorry!"

"The both of them are right dunce face," Bakugou began.

"Hey wait Bakugou, maybe we should all slow down for a seco-"

"Shut it Tails!" The angry blonde yelled at Ojiro before turning back to the other loud blonde. "As I was saying you'll only be a failure of a hero. They need to be smart," he leaned in and flicked Denki's forehead, "but they also need to have control of their quirks. You've got skills in neither area." Bakugou activated his quirk a few inches away from Denki's face.

Small explosions crackled and popped while faint glows of orange and yellow smoked from Bakugou Palm.

"Heroes are always looking for people in trouble but then they never notice me" Denki mumbled out.

"What did you say Pikachu?"

"I'm the one going deaf and yet the one nobody ever listens to" he stated a little louder. Frown on his face as he traced over the strings on his guitar.

"Speak up."

"Heroes never look out for their own! Have you really never noticed that?! I've been trying and struggling to express how I feel for ages!" He started playing a small tune on his guitar. "Hahaha wow just wow. You don't get it do you?"

"Get what?"

"It's just difficult, everything is hard." He strummed.

"I'm anxious all the time- so I can never find any. "

"I spend not a dime yet never have a penny."

"I sit behind a desk then go behind the counter. I never do any work, and never anything for me."

"Everyone is always looking for the flaws, but can never find their own,"

"Because they're eyes are on me but I'm always alone!"

"So maybe I'm an idiot, and maybe I can't do anything right! Maybe I do nothing! But I can't do anything right!"

"So maybe I'm an Idiot, cry myself to sleep at night! That is if I get any and just keep off all the lights."

"Maybe I'm an Idiot! And maybe I can't fight! Only the strongest survive, so I guess I'm weak because I wanna die!"

This is the like guitar I imagined to go with it

With one last harsh strum and his whole body wracked with silent sobs, he looked down at his shaking hands. Denki shouted the last of his song, tears springing from his eyes.

He couldn't look at the other people in the room, he would have to look up just to see their thoughts; frowning, guilty, faces. It was their own fault for not paying attention, right?

*Maybe I'm just an idiot..*

This is a bit of a confusing chapter- whoops.

I made the poem/song thing myself but found the audio online obviously.
