I decided to start this chapter while on a beach vacation. A decision I am proud of. I took many lovely photos. But as it turns out, my writing game has been off, like you may have seen, and so even with as much as I tried to include, I skipped around many things in this chapter. I hope to update it again soon with full details and everything I wanted to include. But I think writing half of this in the car back is effecting me in a negative way. So I hope you can welcome back Sōzu Suhito and a small amount of angst in this cheesy romantic chapter!
This is Sōzu Suhito for those wondering what he looks like, I DID say he looks kinda like Deku.
Denki looked at the board up front mildly surprised. A beach day. With 2A and 2B going together. He couldn't remember the last time he had actually been to the beach. First year was crazy to the point that they didn't really have time for one or to even idealize one. Second year was just as eventful of course, if not more, but it was weirdly spanned out in a tangible and easier to handle way.
"Does everybody understand what we are doing today?" Aizawa pointed tiredly to the board. Already done with the class and their usual antics. Maybe this trip would cause most to get their energy out before bed. "You will first put together bags of the necessary items such as towels, your bathing suit and sunblock. You may want to bring an extra set of clothes, an extra pair of shoes, and sunglasses. If you wish for a chair to sit in or an umbrella for shade please raise your hand." Several hands went up including Denki and Uraraka. "Kaminari, because of how your quirk works and affects your body and those around you, we have already accounted for your belongings."
"The next step is to file out to the accommodating buses for classes 2A and 2B-"
"But Mr Aizawa? What about-" Aizawa interrupted the person who interrupted him.
"Midnight took it upon herself to run to the store and fetch everyone drawstring bags and two swimsuits to choose from to not waste any time. I will hand those out soon. Once you are happy with your bathing suit of choice please come up and take a bottle of sunscreen and a towel to add to your bags." Tsu quickly shut her mouth. Her question had been answered almost perfectly.
Everyone quickly went through the large bags that were soon settled on their desks, picked out a bathing suit then went up to the front to pick up sunscreen sunglasses (of which there were a few of) towels and for those who had raised their hands, they were given a chair, umbrella or both. Denki was getting both. Bakugou was getting shade. Todoroki had both.
"Before I forget, please try and sit or gather in an area with one or two people from class 2B, that way we can preserve enough space on the beach for everyone there and anyone who might tag along. My hope is that you become closer friends with your fellow future heroes. I'm sure the future and yourselves now and then will greatly appreciate it."
Soon both classes were crammed into two busses, one with the well know members of class 2A, and then a mixture of last years 1B and 1C students to form 2B such as Neito Monoma, Hitoshi Shinsou and Sōzu Suhito. Denki could tell that this was going to be a lot of fun.
The bus ride didn't take too long. It felt like longer of a bus ride compared to going to Taco Bell beach but it definitely wasn't as far as he thought it was going to be. There was such wonderful scenery of smaller, more open beaches. The windows passed the outside world in a crazy colour blur that he wanted to understand but not even a video or some traffic lights could equate to what Denki was imagining behind the hues his eyes could see.
It was after noon. Probably somewhere around 14:00/2pm. They had all left close to 13:00/1pm but Denki's head felt too heavy for his tired body to lift off the bus's windows. He felt it rattling in his body. Shaking in weird spasms he most definitely shouldn't be used to, but it just felt like a more external factor of his quirk. It wasn't painful, more annoying. He would have opened the window for some extra air, but he would rather not feel like he couldn't breathe just for the sake of not overheating.
