Chapter 3 : With Hurt

Rain's POV

I chuckled,"What?"

Cole sat up on the couch and said with seriousness,"I saw you medical file in the restriction zone."

"Why were you in the restriction zone?"I asked.

He said,"Becuase I suspect something about the shadows, now don't lie to me."

I'm not even going to try and play it off, I some how felt relived that someone knows about it."Okay,"I said and I sat on the wooden floor,"I am dying."

Cole sat next to me and said,"Why was is in the restricted area?"

I said,"It's becuase I didn't want anyone to know, I found out only a few weeks ago."

We sat there in silenced, hearing the small critters and the steam hissing.

He said,"Dose anyone else know?"

"No, I couldn't bring myself to."I said quietly.

"Lexa was there with me, I told her to not say anything,"He said, I nodded and I looked at the cracks in the walls.

"Do you want me to explain?"I asked. 

He said,"No, you don't need too."

I sighed and said it anyway,"The doctor for the shadows said that the reason I am able to copy and use other abilities is because of adaptive cells I have. I had apparently overworked them with adding newer and newer abilities and then constantly using them all the time. My cells are beyond repair and are deteriorating at steady rate."

I said with sarcastic happy voice,"I will now exprience, blood vomiting, blood coughing, headaces, hunger and neausa if I use my powers to much."

He asked,"What about Em's power maybe-"

I cut in and said,"My copied powers can't affect my body permanently remember? I would have fix my eyes if I could."

He said nothing for a while, then he asked,"How long?" 

"Four months if I keep using my powers, two years if I only use my secondary power, my shadows, a human lifespan if I don't use any powers entirely."I said.

Cole grabbed my shoulder and said,"That's good!! Why don't you stop?"

I was troubled, I said,"I need my powers, I don't want to just live like that."

Cole's facial expression was hard to read, he said,"But you will die."

I forced a laugh,"Heh everyone dies, If I die sooner than later, I'm fine with that. Crass with take care of the pack-"

"What about Vix, what about all the people that you would leave behind?"He said while staring at me.

"I'll... break my ties with them when the time comes."I said slowly. I could tell he wanted to said something but decided against it.

Cole then said with determination,"I will find a way to fix you."

I stood up and said,"You won't." I  then warp away.

Some Time Later

Rain's POV

I slashed with both my swords to turn around and slash again. I did multiple parries, I am trying to use my other powers less. I turned my left sword in the other direction and slashed again then slashing my right sword, then instinctively threw my left sword at a tree. I warped it back thing I should probably throw my swords less to.
