Chapter 8 : Blood Soul's Newest Member

Rain's POV

I was siting next to Vix and Lynx siting next to Cole. We were at small table in a fast food joint in the South of the werewolf lands. Technically this is a large city, in the middle of the North and South, we were just in the southern portion. This is the biggest city in the humans history but everyone else knows this to be central place of trade of many species.

"Okay what's the plan?"I said as a took another fries from the middle, these fries are the best thing I had ever seen from humans.

Lynx said,"Well it's just to get in and kill them, take the vengstone and get back."

There was a family sitting next to us and the mother raised an eyebrow. I flipped her off, Cole looked at Lynx and said,"That's not a plan, also how did you know that they have vengstone again?"

Vix said,"That's not important, is it? Also Rain, please take of your blindfold, people are staring."

I put my head on her shoulders and said,"Comon no one gonna doing anything about it."

Lynx finished his burger and said,"Okay, let's go." He put some slivers on the table and got up. Vix rolled her eyes and took them and replaced them with paper money. 

As Cole and Lynx walked outside, I touched Vix,"Are your sure you want to go? It might be dangerous, I'll promise to not let Cole and Lynx die, if you want."

Vix said softly,"Thank you but I can fight too ok? Besides I'm bored, I know my limits and will pull back if needed."

I smiled and nodded and kissed her cheek.

Some Time Later

We stood in the the trees a few miles away from the stronghold. The base was similar to the last base I raided, it was a hard stone complex that was mostly submerged into the solid ground. It was covered with trees on top, with huge roots grown down that provided more cover. The base was next to a river that had large rocks covering the place. This region is called the rocky rivers which is very creative by the way.

We were all in our combat gear, Lynx had his sleeves rolled up, wearing his armored arm pieces and fingerless gloves. Cole was wearing his shadows mask of a bear's face, with his hood on and a basic black steel chestplate. Vix was wearing her cloak with her satchel hidden, which contains all kinds of stuff. I wore my cloth mask and my blindfold and my dual sword strapped to my back over my cloak.

Cole said,"Tell me why you didn't destroyed this base already?"

"Because, I have no reason to Cole,"I said while turning to him,"Unlike you I'm trying to change."

Vix said,"Thank you for trying but try not to kill anyone? That'll mean a lot to me."

Lynx hopped down from his branch and felt the ground, he said,"We need to get the vengestone so I can't just collapse the place. The complex it four large corridors with ten tunnels and two small caves. I assume that the caves are the storage areas so let's start there yeah?"

Cole took his sycthe off his back and twirled it so it laid on his shoulders. I unsheathed my dual swords from my back, Vix was, awww was using the knife I gave her. I made a shadow portal and we all ran through.

The entrance was guarded by three wolves, I jumped up channeled electricty through my swords and used the flat end to knock out two. Cole just used his scythe like a bat and hit the last one. We kept running.
