Chapter 7 : Stolen

Rain's POV

Two day's later 

I looked over all children that were gathered, I said,"Okay, let's see if anyone's dead. Glenna?"

She jumped up and down saying,"Me!!"

"Valkar?"I said, the boy pulled up his glasses and gave a humph. I then said the rest of thier  names.

The caretaker woman looked at us with amazement,"Wow I expected at least one child to a least get hurt."

Jonny slowly raised his hand and she pointed at him,"Besides you, your always hurt."

He then slowly lowered his hand.

Ariel said,"Thanks for your vote of confidence, anyway how was your trip?"

She sighed and said,"Actually relaxing, only one rouge attempted to rob me and my family only gave each other some bruises. I really needed a break from the kids, thanks."

Cole said,"That seems fun, so payment?"

She took out of her bag a emerald the size of my palm,"Sell it for about 16 gold." Then she threw it at Cole.

I said,"If you need some time off again, I could take care of them for a while."

They all looked at me, I said,"What?"

She pulled hair out of her face and said,"Goddess yes please."

Ariel laughed while Cole just rolled his eyes. I honestly had no idea what their problem was.

I noticed the red haired girl glaring at me, I linked her with our own private link,"Don't worry, I'll won't forget."

She seemed satisfied with that, we said our good byes to the kids and I made a portal for us to walk through.

Lynx's POV

"How long was it gone?"I said, while tapping my foot.

We were next to the broken stone door in our packs vault, hidden in the cavern's enchanted tunnels.

He shoved his hands in his sweater pockets and said nothing.

I said slowly,"Zane this is serious, you know that right?"

Zane looked away with shame. I walked up to him and put my hand on his should to reassure him.

"How long was the Vengestone gone for?"I said.

Zane hesitated and quietly,"A day, maybe two."

He looked inside and said,"They took only about five pounds of it, probably becuase of the extra care you need to move it and store it."

I sighed, then I said,"It's definitely worrying, but it's not your fault. We relied on the tunnels enchantments and not placed any guards here. When Jack gets back from the gathering, I won't mention you in the report, okay?"

He protested,"No!! You don't have to do that!! This was my fault, I was the one with the idea to mine the deposits!! I don't have the right to be here, I have endangered our pack."

I gave him a small smile,"It's fine, don't worry about it okay?"

He looked like he was about to tear up, he then said quietly,"Okay."
