Chapter 26 : Reforms

Four Years Ago Unknown POV

It's been a few days since Rain got here. She had grown accustomed to our daily routine, wake up, eat, do some daily chores and go to work. She was still very distant towards me, or more like hesitant. One time I joked about her sharing my bed and she wouldn't talk to me for hours. I am so glad to have company now, we never spoke about her leaving so I hope she will stay... I love having her here but sometimes it feels like I am treating her like a pet.

I washed her hair, help her put on clothes and cook her food, I play and cuddle with her all the time. I bandaged up her wounds and help change those bandages, I know of my feelings for her but I wonder if she does already.

Rain poked me from behind asking,"Where do I put these towels?"

I jumped a bit startled,"Um, yeah over there, first door to the left hallway."

She nodded and started walking there, I suddenly had a thought, how are my foster parents going to react? As if to answer my fears, the front door clattered open and Frank came inside, wiping the snow off his clothes. 

He was wearing a brown winter coat with wool pants and back boots. He was tall and muscular with a grey and black beard and neatly made hair. He said without looking at me,"Aprix, get me a cup of coffee."

I went to the coffee machine by the counter and started to make some. Crap, crap, how am I going to hid Rain? What would he do if he found out-

He said in his gruffy voice,"Stop smoking in here girl, I don't care if you smoke but don't let it stink up the motel."

I nodded and said,"Sorry. Uhh so where's Miss.Gelena?"

He took off his coat and hang it up simply saying,"Out."

Okay, okay, calm down, I can hide Rain as long as-

Rain came back and froze before Frank who stared down at her small figure. Oh crap, I slammered,"W-wait thats-"

"What you want?"Frank said while glaring at her.

She said unfazed,"I just want to get over there." I gasped in shock, I never thought Rain could muster up the courage to do that."

"Then just walk around me. Kids these days,"She walked around him when he sniffed the air and asked,"Why is Aprix's smell all over you?"

I frozed in terror, oh crap now it's all over. Rain said,"Because we banged, you gotta problem pal?"

I turned red and yelled out of nowhere,"We did not!!!"

He looked back and forth between us. Oh gods we are going to die. He sighed and said,"I don't care as long as you pay coins."

He was about to walk away but Rain started to speak again. She said,"No I don't right now, but I do help her with her job here. You pay her by giving her food and living needs right? So I am also doing the same."

I was about to hit my head on the table, why does Rain keep pushing it!?! He then started to walk over to me and nervously gripped the counter. He said in a low voice,"So what do you think of her?"

I was not prepared for that question I blushed while I slammered out,"Someone who's nice, makes me kinda want to treat her like a pet-"

I stopped myself and internally screamed, what the hell is wrong with me!?? He walked away and called out,"Sure she can stay."

I stopped and yelled,"Wait what??"

He already left. Rain walked up to me and demanded to sit on my lap and said,"Your welcome."

I squrimed while pinching her cheeks,"Whyyy would you do that??? What's wrong with youu."
She looked above at me and said,"I want to be here with you, you helped me, I want to return the favor. I also like you."
