Rain's POV
I was training alone in my pack's training grounds. It was a large cavern that is carved into the cliff face over looking the tents below. With various training equipment scatter through the terrain, padding on the floors too. It was early in the morning, it was so early the darkness shined into the open side of the cave.
I punched the bag multiple times and threw in various kicks too. I was doing my usuall workout routine when I heard some walk down the stone stair case to the far side. It was Crass, he was wearing a loose white t shirt and plain black sweatpants. His brown hair was all messy and his eyes were half opened.
He yawned as he walked down, squinting at me,"Rain? Is that you?"
I punched the bag again and wiped off my sweat,"Yeah it's me, so Crass, what you doing here?"
He stretched and rubbed his eyes as he made his way to me,"I couldn't sleep, I was gonna go down for a run but then I saw you."
"Huh,"I said as I started to do situps,"Well do you wanna go on a run with me later? Let me just finish up real quick."
He nodded and laid down on a bench near me. I did more different upper body work outs for a while than I switched to leg workouts.
"Why are you workingout? Your already the most powerful being on this planet."He said in a bored tone.
"It's fun and relaxing for me, plus it's good for your physical health,"I replied. Then I said annoyed,"I can literality feel you staring at me."
He immediately got up flustered, he said loudly,"No I wasn't!! Anyway since when did you have sports... uh clothing?"
I replied casually,"Vix got them for me, it actually feels way more comfortable than normal clothes."
He scratched his head and said,"Cool, whatever. You know what? I'll exercise right now to."
I stopped what I was doing and clapped my hands,"Then let's spar!! I was going to practice with my swords next anyway."
I warped my swords onto my back and unsheathe them. I twirled them around as I got ready.
Crass sighed,"No powers okay? Even though I know I'm going to lose, I don't want to go to the infirmary."
I nodded and he walked slowly to a rack with weapons on the side. He took a metal staff reluctantly, he spun it around and got into position, Crass sighed again.
I waited for a second and immediately bolted at him. I held my swords next to each other and did a wide slash. He spun his staff around his frontside, deflecting the blow with sparks flying. He then did a quick jab with the staff with one of his hands, I twisted my sword around to deflect it and used my other to hit him but he spun his staff back around. I went in with a furry of slashes and hacks on him, he went fully on the defense. He kept dodging and deflecting attacks, I decided to pressure even him more. Just as I was about to win, he suddenly charged at me holding his staff with both hands to keep my swords in place.
He jumped and did a flip over me and suddenly switched to using his legs to kick me. I held up my arms to block them and he spun around trying to hit me with his staff again. I twirled my swords and blocked it. As I held the staff in place he used it to spring himseld foward and had his legs around my neck. I tried to slice him but he squeezed me harder and we both fell to the ground.
I tapped the ground and said while choking,"I give, I give."
Crass let go and jumped up and down saying,"Woo I beat Rain!!! Yes!!! First time in a while!!"
I rubbed my neck and said,"I'm still better than you with swords. You got lucky."
He laughed and helped me up, he said,"Your still to stiff, you gotta loosen up a bit. And also it would go a long way to incorporate more flexible stuff into your fighting style."
