Cole's POV
I twirled around my scythe as I wait in front of the stone hallway to see the shadow's doctor for the checkup. Ariel was standing besides me also waiting on line to.
I asked,"Hey, where's Lexa? I didn't see her at all today."
She said,"She said she had to do something today, so she's doing it tomorrow. Becuase you know, she'll be here all day becuase of her automail."
I nodded. I noticed that she was playing on something, I leaned in next to her and said,"What's that?"
"A switch, I got it with the money from my last job,"She replied, focused on the object.
"Huh,"I said, now that I think about it, I had never really talked to just Ariel before. Ariel and Lexa are usually always together.
"Next!"Someone said, I walked in the room. It was a typical doctor's room with boring medical things, I went to the bench.
"Okay, Shadow Hunter VI, oh I'm honored,"He said. I nodded.
"I'm going to do the usually series of tests now, is that okay?" I nodded again.
A few minutes later
The doctor said,"Okay, all done. But I'm curious, it says here your blood and chemical structure is synthetic, who ever made-"
I said angrily,"What do you want to say?"
He held up his hands and said,"Sorry, I didn't mean to pry, but I have a question for you, do you consider yourself a real living creature?"
I growled, the room darkened. I took a deep breath and the room returned to normal. I walked out of the room. Ariel glance up and said,"How did it-"
I warped out in anger.
I practiced with my scythe.
"Your just a subject"
"You don't have emotions"
"Just an experiment."
I roared out in anger and slammed my scythe so hard into the ground that it cracked. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around angrily, to see Rain there.
Rain said sternly,"I know I said you could use my pack's training grounds but your giving off a bit of an intense vibe."
I looked around to see many people and wolves staring at me. I shrugged her off and said,"Sorry." I warped to the central shadow hub. I climbed up a side of the cave to a wooden platform and sat down. Rain warped there and sat next to me.
Rain looked at me and said,"Want to talk about it?"
I sighed and said,"It's nothing, I was just annoyed of what someone said."
"Want me to kill them?"
"No"
I saw Ariel swimming down one of the streams of water, she noticed me at said,"Cole!!"
She shifted to her human legs and warped next to me. She noticed Rain and tilted her head,"Uh hey Rain, I haven't seen you in a while."
She smiled and said,"Yeah, nice to see you again."
"Anyway, Cole I found a job you would love. Here,"She said and handed me a piece of paper, I read it and said,"No."
"Why? I thought-" I cut her off.
"I can't do it sorry." I said.
"What's the job?"Rain asked, Ariel took the paper out of my hands and gave it to Rain.
