Cole's POV

Lynx immediately punched a tunnel and I took Rain through, bridal style. We were now in the infirmary of Lynx's pack. The infirmary was a simple long carved out room, with beds and drawers lined out.

Em was there sitting on a swivel chair read a book. She jumped up and looked at us.

I ran to her and said,"Help her please!!"

Em's eyes darted to her and said,"Oh my goddess, uh set her on the bed!!"

I laid her on the bed and Lynx followed me in a worry. Em's hand glowed as she place her hand on Rain's chest.

Lynx said,"Is she okay?"

"Umm, uhh, she has four broken ribs, her wrist is fractured, a ton of cuts, bruises, and her left ankle is sprained."She said panicky,"Rain is the strongest person I know, how did this even happen?"

"There was a woman with black wings, she beat the crap out off Rain. That's doesn't matter right now, can you heal her?"Lynx asked.

"Yep, yep on it,"She said, she took off Rain's shirt and place both her hands on Rain's stomach. All the visible wound closed up and Rain's seem to breath easier.

Me and Lynx sighed in relief. Lynx said,"Thank you."

I nodded and said,"Yeah thanks."

She shook her head and said,"Rain had done a lot for me, this is nothing."

I was thinking and said,"She was coughing up blood, bleeding from her nose and eyes. She looked out of it when she passed out. That didn't look like it was from that winged girl."

Em frowned and said,"What?" She then closed her eyes and focused more.

After a few moments her eyes flew open and she was visibly concern.

"What, what happen?"I said worried.

She said slowly,"It looks like... her cells are deteriorating slowly... She's dying."

Me and Lynx said nothing for a moment. Lynx yelled,"What!?!" I sighed with relief. Thank the moon goddess that it wasn't something else.

Em and Lynx both looked at me with shock. Lynx said confused and mad,"Wha-why are you sighing?"

I froze, thinking crap. I looked at Rain sleeping, her hair was getting all over her face again, she looked like she was having a good sleep. I thought hard and said,"I already knew this."

Em said,"Why didn't you say anything??"

I looked down,"I found out about a week earlier, she made me promise to keep it a secret, especially from Vix."

I looked up to see Lynx's reaction, to my surprise he was laughing. He pulled up his hair with one hand and said,"Heh, ofcourse she kept this a secret."

He then walked away, before he got to the door I said,"Rain really doesn't want Vix to know. Don't tell her, please."

He said nothing and walked out of the room.

I sighed and leaned against the wall. The room was silent for a bit. Em stood there awkwardly as she now realized she was in a room with just me now. She hid behind her hair as she said shly,"Er, do you want to? I mean I'll just.."

She walked around the bed and cautiously took my hand and touched the palm of it, healing all of my injures. She was a few feet shorter than me so I had to look down to be at eye level. I said,"Thanks."

She nodded walked to the door, before she left she said quietly,"Lynx had never trusted anyone as quickly as he did with you. I know you care about him as much as he does to you, please talk with him."
