Sheo's Story

Chapter Fourteen

Shai's POV:

It's about 12:00 and I can't sleep. I've been laying in bed for hours now, and I'm not remotely tired. I get out of bed, and start pacing in the hallways in Theo's top and my underwear. I don't even know the time but I've been out here for a while now. I think it's time I go to bed, but I left the key inside. Great. I'm locked out. It's too late to ask reception for a key, I don't think anyone's there. I feel my only option is to knock on Theo's door. I stood outside his door for a while not wanting to wake him, but I was getting so tired now. So I gently knocked on his door and whispered "Theo" as if he could hear me. I heard him get out of bed, and stumble over things to get to the door, but as he opened it, he didn't seem mad, he seemed worried. I was tired, and I just wanted to sleep. So I hugged him tightly and held me, kissing my head. He didn't speak for a while, but when he did he just made everything feel better. "Come on, what's happened?" he said, as he lead me into his room. I sat on the floor, "I couldn't sleep so I started to walk up and down the hallway, but I forgot my key, I'm so sorry Theo, can I sleep on your floor?" he laughs and takes my hand pulling me up. "Don't be an idiot Shai, you can stay in my bed, I'll take the floor." As soon as he said that I realised how stupid I must've sounded saying I'll take the floor, because now I think he's being stupid. I laugh and pull him into the bed with me, and he just smiles. In minutes I feel myself drift into a comfortable sleep on Theo's chest.

Theo's POV:

I wake up with my arms wrapped tightly around Shai, she's a beautiful sleeper. I don't move at all, I don't want to wake her, and it's our day off today. I realise she's wearing the t shirt I gave her. I gently move a hair from her eye and kiss her forehead, waking her up slightly. She smiles and tightens her grip around me. "Good morning Theodore" she whispers tiredly. "Hello Shailene" I say with a smile, I can get used to this, waking up with the most amazing girl next to me every day. She rubs her eyes and puts herself up on one elbow so she's looking into my eyes, she examines my body and smiles, I raise one eyebrow questioning what she's doing and she just kisses me, our lips fit so perfectly together, I really think me and Shai are meant to be, I'm going to ask her to be girlfriend. Usually I would plan this, take her out, do something special. But with Shai, it makes me realise every single moment with her is perfect, you don't get one moment less worthy than another, so I stroke her hair out of her face and whisper to her. "Be my girlfriend Shailene?" She looks at me and I can't tell what she's thinking. I'm surprised she can't feel my heart beating, I'm nervous, exciting and falling for her all at the same time. She places her head back on my chest and whispers "okay." I don't think I can contain my happiness, but I have to, because this is gentle. This whole thing is gentle, and all I want to do is look at Shai, admire her. This girl is mine, I will not let her go.
