Theo's POV:

I walk down stairs in our new house as Shai's family are supposed to be here in an hour and I see Shai already in the kitchen cooking and getting things ready. All she's wearing is one of my old shirts and she's completely oblivious to how stunning she looks right now. I swear for a minute my heart just stops because she's what's keeping alive in this moment. She turns and smiles at me but I can't stop myself from staring at her in awe.

"What?" She laughs.

"No nothing, what are you doing?" I ask slightly embarrassed.

"Just figuring out where everything is so I can make dinner." She has a few pans and whatnot already placed on the table so I decide to help her and wash them up so they're not dusty from the move. She moves around the kitchen as if she's been here her whole life and I decide to take a step back and watch her again.

Shai runs upstairs to put on some different clothes, I wait downstairs for her as the doorbell rings. I open then door to see Tanner and Lori smiling brightly at me. I invite them in and lead them to the dining room Shai and I managed to set up for this evening.

"Shai's just getting dressed- not that she wasn't already dressed- she's just changing into different clothes." I feel myself get embarrassed and Lori laughs. My cheeks burning up and I have no idea why I made it so weird.

"Well you are both adults." She attempts at humour and I fake a laugh so this situation doesn't become even more awkward. I can tell Tanner is seeing right through me. Just in time Shai walks in and hugs her mum and brother and I relax a little. She turns to look at me and raises her eyebrow.

"Why are you bright red?"

"Doesn't matter," I almost instantly reply. We all sit at the table whilst the dinner's in the oven and Shai catches up with her mum. I soon enough become engaged with the conversation and we all start talking about different things when Shai looks at her brother and gasps in realisation maybe.

"What?" He asks and I look to her to find out the answer too. She looks me deeply in the eyes as if I'm supposed to already know and I notice her rubbing her belly.

"Go ahead," I take her hand and we both look to her brother.

"Well, we're, well I'm pregnant!" She says with so much joy I swear it fills the room. Her brother jumps up and comes round to hug her and pats me on the back in a manly kind of way. I just laugh and tighten my grip around Shai's hand subconsciously.

Shai's POV:

After dinner and Tanner and my mum have left Theo and I just lay in bed. Not talking. Barely even breathing. I curl into him and the slow movements of his stomach in time with his breathing relax me. I look around the room and think of different colours we could paint it and different styles we could try out. I let my mind wonder to the rest of the house as well then I get completely caught in the baby's room. When should we decorate it? What kind of theme are we going for? All of these questions I'm asking myself when I'm laying on my husband who is perfectly capable of helping me find an answer.

"Hey," I say, "what do you want to do with the baby's room?" He sits up a little making me slide a little but the position I end up in is still comfortable.

"Well do you want to find out the sex of the baby when we can or wait?"

"What do you want to do?" I ask as I genuinely don't mind.

"I don't know, how about we wait to decorate the baby's room until that scan, if we find out or not we'll start it then?" He smiles a little and I can see in his eyes he's getting excited for our new arrival. He kisses me on the head, an action I've grown to become so used to I'm certain I'd have trouble sleeping without it.

"I love you." I whisper through a yawn and slowly close my eyes, ending yet another perfect day.
