Shai's POV:
After a few days in London with Theo's family I regret not coming to visit more often. We've had so much fun, yesterday we went to the zoo with his mum, sister, niece and nephew and it was so great to just be with them all and welcomed into their family so easily. That's something really amazing, that I've never felt out of place around them, I really believe Theo and I were supposed to be together. Playing with Lewis and Aimee reminds me of how excited I am for my own children, hopefully when we're in a more stable place we'll think about having more.
Theo and I walk hand in hand along the Thames approaching the London Eye, it's so much bigger in real life and it never fails to leave me breathless. We sit on a wall with our feel hanging over the river as we look at Big Ben and the boats passing by every now and again. You can tell who lives here and who doesn't because half of the people surrounding have the same mesmerized looks on their faces and the other half have a plain look as if it's no big deal.
"I love it here." I say turning to face Theo more and he smiles as he's already looking at me. "What?" I ask, when I realise he's been starring.
"You are so beautiful." He whispers and I feel myself blush as if it was the first time he'd ever said it. My cheeks warm up and I laugh a little.
"What are you talking about?" I say still laughing.
"I could look at you the way you look at London all day." I will never understand how he can still have this effect on me, all he has to do is complement me and I get nervous butterflies and red cheeks and I have to control myself. Even after all of this time it's like I'm falling in love with him for the first time.
Theo's POV:
I've seen London enough times to know how beautiful it is, but I could never see Shai's face enough times, there is no number you can put on her. The way she can wear a hoodie and have windswept hair all over her face but still manages to be the most incredible woman I've seen still shocks me to this day. Just looking at the passion in her eyes when she looks at the water and the inspiration in her voice when she talks about things she truly cares about reminds why I've fallen so in love with her.
I wrap my arm around her shoulder and pull her in closer to me, partially for warmth and partially because I just want her near me, as close as she can be. We spend hours in this position talking about the river and the attractions around us. I tried to convince her to come into The London Dungeons with me but she insisted it was too scary for her, although I would have enjoyed being able to protect her.
"I've got a surprise." I say as we continue to look over the river.
"What?" I can feel her smile against my shoulder.
"I booked us dinner on the river boat tonight, I thought it would be nice to remember the times we had here."
"Sounds perfect." She whispers and she squeezes my arm a little. I will never get tired of treating her exactly how she deserves to be treated. "I love you." She whispers again and I kiss her forehead. I am so lucky.
