Shai's POV:
It's a new day and waking up in our apartment felt so refreshing, the start of a new chapter of our life. Theo and I were going to see my mother today to tell her the good news, and naturally I was terrified. I woke up way before Theo's usual waking up time so I decided to run myself one of my special baths as I have a few ours to myself. I find all of my essences and different remedies to put in my baths and spend a good amount of time picking the perfect ones that complement each other and relax me as much as possible. In the bath, I must have thought about at least 100 ways to tell my mum about being pregnant, and then at least 100 more reactions she could have. I am very positive she'll be as excited as we are, but I can't help but doubt it as well. My mum will always look out for me no matter what and she'll always try and protect me even if it means being brutally honest with me. There's a high chance she will think Theo and I are rushing into starting a family too soon, and if I tell her it was planned she may think even less of the whole idea. I know talking to Theo about this would be the best idea, but I can't have him being nervous too, he's my rock. We brought my mum a beautiful natural necklace back from the honeymoon as a thank you for all of the help she gave us up to and during the wedding, hopefully that will lighten the mood before we drop the bombshell. At the end of the day, I'm in love with Theo and that's what a child needs, loving parents who will do anything for them, that's what Theo and I can guarantee.
After my bath, I get dressed into some black jeans and one of Theo's old hoodies and I put on a film whilst I wait for him to wake up, which shouldn't be long now. I notice the laptop on the table has a note on it, telling me to open it and look at the website. This reminds me Theo didn't come to bed until much later last night and I was asleep by the time he finally joined me. I open the laptop and see a picture of a beautiful three bedroomed house. I love it, but we really need to wait before we think about buying a house together. As I'm looking at it some more and slowly falling in love with the house, Theo's arm wrap themselves around the back of me and he kisses my head. "It's perfect, right?" And I nod in agreement. "Obviously, we need to talk about it all first, but I was just thinking last night, that if we got this house it would really be the start of our marriage, everything would be ours, we could decorate the nursery, make the garden fun and make a little park out there. It's closer to your mum so she can come and visit more often and we can go to visit, I just think it would be really perfect for us." I sit in silence for a few minutes and really think about everything he's saying, he's impossible to say no. I turn around so I'm facing him and looking into his over excited eyes. "There's nothing to talk about, this is our house." I say pointing to the screen. He leans in a kisses me and it reminds me of the first time we kissed outside his hotel room filming for Divergent, and all the problems we had of hardly even knowing each other, now we're so much more.
We're sitting in the car ready to leave for my mum's and Theo puts one hand on my knee like he always does and starts the car. I watch his head slowly move in time to the music playing on the radio and I turn it up because I love watching him get into something like that. He smiles and sings a little under his breath. I forget that Theo can sing and take moments like this to really appreciate the talent this man has, he's such an inspiring actor, he has an amazing voice and he's the most intelligent person I know. He's going to be such an amazing father it's unreal.
We knocked on my mum's door and she opened with a massive hug for both me and Theo, Theo kissed her on the cheek and returned his hand around my waist. Once we're all in and seating in the living room my mum asks what the surprise visit is for. Theo looks at me, I can tell he's wondering which one of us should tell her and I think it's best if I do. "Well mum, Theo and I have some sudden, but amazing news," Theo puts his hand on my knee and smiles, "we're going to have a baby!" I say, tearing up every time I say it out loud. My mum stands up and gasps putting her hands over her mouth, within seconds she's on her knees in front of me with her hands on my belly. "There's a little person in there?!" She says not holding back the tears, "guys, that's amazing I'm so happy for you, but mainly for me, I'm going to be a grandma!" She says kissing Theo on the cheek. He smiles and blushes a little. "Yeah, we're both very excited, but we'd appreciate it if you could just keep it on the down low for now." He says still smiling. My mum nods and gently strokes my stomach. It still feels odd every time Theo and now my mother touches my belly, I just don't 'feel' pregnant yet.
Theo's POV:
The visit to Shai's mother's house went so well, we had lunch and got excited together about everything. On the way back I decided to take a detour and should Shai the house we're thinking about getting. I was so excited when she said yes, I really thought she'd say no, and question what's wrong with where we live now. We slow down when we reach the outside and really admire everything about it, this house has our names on it, and I can't wait to call up and make it ours as soon as possible.
When we get back to our apartment, I look at Shai and feel like it's time to get to the bottom of this text I received whilst I was on holiday. I forward it to my publicist and tell her why I'm concerned about it. She agrees that it's a worrying text and she'll do her best to get to the bottom of it, for the mean time she told me not to reply to it unless she says otherwise. I can Shai's getting slightly protective over me because the thought of someone else wanting to ruin our marriage is unsettling for the both of us. She needs to understand she is the only person I will ever want. I go to our room and find the first t-shirt I ever gave her, it was white with green sleeves, when she came into my hotel room once. I threw it at her on the sofa and she looked up at me confused whilst slightly hugging it. "Just to remind you that it doesn't matter who this silly person is, I've loved you ever since the moment I gave you that shirt." She smiles and puts it on before cuddling under my arm and kissing me. Now all that's left to do is find out who's been messing with us.
At about 10:30pm Shai and I go to bed, we suddenly felt really close and started to undress each other when my phone started ringing. It was my publicist. I look at Shai and the mood is automatically killed.
"Hey." I say, kind of frustrated.
"Theo, I know who was texting you, I don't think it's going to be anything like you expected."
"Well, we just expected it was someone jealous of us?"
"Not quite, are you sure you're ready to hear this, Theo?" I can't quite work out where she's going with this but it makes my stomach feel heavy and I start to feel really scared.
"Yeah, tell me."
"Theo, it was your sister."
A/N:
How often do you want me to update, because I don't want to overload you guys with updates as I get that's annoying and I also have my GCSE's coming up, but I don't want to totally disappear like I did last time?
