Shai's POV:

I have no idea how to feel right now, I don't know who Theo's co-star will be if he gets this job, but he didn't look happy about it, or he didn't want me seeing. Either way it doesn't give me much confidence. It's been hours since he hung up on me and I haven't heard from him at all, I've sent him multiple texts and even called him a few times. It may sound like I'm obsessing over this, but all I want is to know what's going on. I hadn't ever considered Theo falling in love with someone else, what if he does just have a soft spot for love and will fall for anyone he gets close to? All these different things are running through my mind and I'm getting no answers, I didn't even realise the strong urge I have to cry.

I can't and I won't let this overtake my life, so I decide to call Zoë. I know it's quite early but I think she's usually awake by now.

"Hey Shai, what's up?" For some reason hearing her voice just makes me cry and I can't help it. Before I can even reply to her she speaks again. "I'm on my way over." I'm so grateful to have a friend like her, the Divergent series really has been the best thing that ever happened to me.

About 10 minutes had passes and I heard a knock on the door, I answered and she just hugged me. I pulled myself together and smiled, inviting her in.

"What happened Shai?" She asks, taking my hand. I squeeze it a little and explain what happened earlier on FaceTime with Theo. She furrows her eyebrows a little whilst she thinks about it and smiles at me. "Theo loves you Shai, you should trust him."

"I do trust him, with my life, but why isn't he answering me? Why did he hang up? The only thing I can think is that he's hiding something from me right now."

"Honestly, it does sound a little weird, but you and I both know Theo, he would never hurt you. I made sure of that when you first got together." She laughs a little as she tries to lighten the mood and I fake a laugh to make her feel more comfortable. "How are you feeling anyway? With the pregnancy I mean." She says pointing at the bump. It doesn't matter what kind of mood I'm in, whenever someone talks about my little boy I can't help but smile and feel some form of contentment.

"So good, he's getting big now." I laugh.

"Can I feel it, or is that weird?" She laughs and I move her hand to the bump. I never understand why people like to touch baby bumps, but it's not harming anyone so why not? Just as Zoë places her hand on it I feel something quick. Like a movement in my stomach.

"What was that?" I asked completely panicked and she laughs a little.

"Calm down Shai, he just kicked, have you not felt that before?" I shake my head. The baby just kicked for the first time. I find myself crying again, but with happiness. This is such an incredible journey to experience.

"That was amazing." I laugh.

"Theo's going to be annoyed he missed that." She mumbles completely forgetting about everything we were just speaking about. I watch her face as she suddenly realises what she said. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring him up."

"No, you're right, but he should've been here I guess." I shrug, acting like I don't care. All I'm truly thinking about right now is the other man in my life, this little one. Zoë and I keep our hands on the bump for ages, laughing every time we feel another kick. This is all becoming so real now, and I'm so excited.
