Astrophel's POV
"Mako, bakit mukhang puyat ka?" I asked.
Kapansin-pansin kasi sa mata niya na wala siyang sapat na tulog. I think there's no reason naman para mapuyat siya since wala pang klase. Next week pa ang simula ng classes.
"Ah kasi may pinanood ako kagabi, late na ako nakatulog," sagot niya.
Tumango ako sa kaniya. Kahit may doubts ako sa sinabi niya ay pinaniwalaan ko na lang. I know her, she won't do monkey business when I am not around. Napansin kong kanina pa siya hindi mapakali. Parang may gusto siya sabihin pero hindi niya masabi sa akin.
"Astro, tara, date tayo?" she said.
I was stunned for a minute because of what she said. Siya? Aayain ako mag-date? This is something she doesn't do. Baka ito na 'yong hindi niya masabi sa akin kani-kanina lang.
"Ha? Date?" sagot ko.
"Yes, date. Doon sa Mines View! Don't worry ako mag-d-drive!" sagot niya.
"No, that's ungentleman for me to let you drive. Tara na, magbihis ka na," sagot ko.
She smiled at me and went inside her room excitedly. I have a feeling she has something to say. Paglabas niya sa kwarto ay may dala na siyang sling bag and she is wearing the long sleeves I lent her last time and ripped jeans.
"Let's go!" she excitedly said.
Sabay na kaming lumabas ng dorm niya. Sabay lang kaming naglalakad at tahimik na tahimik kami. Not until she held my hand and intertwined our fingers. I didn't know that walking would cause a fast heart rate or it's just our hands intertwined together.
"Huy! Bakit nanlalamig ka?" she said.
"Ako? H-Hindi!" I stuttered.
This has been a problem for me since I met her. I always stutter and my heart starts to beat fast even when I am with her. Kahit nga wala siyang ginagawang espesyal tumitibok na ng mabilis ang puso ko. Nang makarating kami sa parking lot ay pinagbuksan ko siya ng pinto ng kotse ko. Nang makasakay siya ay umikot na ako papunta sa driver's seat. Habang papunta kami sa Mines View Park ay lalong tumindi ang pagbilis ng tibok ng puso ko.
Nang makarating kami ay dinala niya ako sa spot kung saan kami unang nagkita. Paano ko ito makakalimutan kung dito ko unang nasilayan ang kagandahan niya? This is where we first watch the stars fall, hindi ko namalayan na pati pala ako na-fall na rin.
"I have something for you, Mako!" She lent me a box and I think a canvas.
Mako? Did she know about the real meaning of that endearment?
"Open it na!" she said.
So I opened the canvas. It is a portrait of us when we first met. Our body figure is well defined, even the faces. I smiled as I looked at the portrait. I didn't expect to be one of her art. Arts is indeed for her. And then I opened the box and it was full of my favourite chocolates and strawberries. Then I saw an envelope and opened it.
