You both sprint hand in hand around the house, careful not to make too much noise as Eddie peeks his around the corner to see if the coast is clear.

His hand tugs yours as you both head to the boathouse, the sunset lightning your path.

As soon as you step into the boathouse, Eddie shuts the door behind you and purposefully walks towards a boat covered with tarp, lifting it up, his hand beckons you over.

Your anxious eyes dart to look at the door one more time, before you climb into the boat, a gentle rock causes you to more like fall in.

Eddie follows on your heels, shoving himself right next to you, strategically placing the tarp back over the boat to hide you both.

The space is so small and your breathing becomes ragged, you're not a fan of being trapped.

Eddie's arms wrap around you, pulling you closer to him. You expect to hate the enclosure he's created, but instead you feel comforted, his arms feeling more like protection rather than a cage.

Both of your breaths mingle as you lie face to face, the darkness making it hard to see where his gaze has landed.

After a few minutes of the sound of both your heavy breathing, your eyes adjust to the dark and the sun finally sets, causing a small speck of light to shine through a gap in the tarp.

That's when you notice that Eddie's wide, brown eyes are glued to your face.

"Sorry, I should give you more space-" You whisper, thinking he's uncomfortable with the lack of space between you two.

Eddie's hand comes up to cup your face, tilting your chin up slightly so his mouth is inches away from yours.

"Now is a really bad time to want to kiss you" Eddie mumbles, his eyes dart to your lips.

You lick your lips in anticipation and mumble back "Yeah, it's terrible timing"

But as soon as you get the words out, Eddie's mouth meets yours halfway. At first it's a tender kiss, gentle and testing, but it soon turns hungry as his grip on your waist tightens, and you instinctively roll on top of him, Eddie lies on his back and holds you against him as his lips devour yours.

You both kiss and kiss until the sun is long gone and the gentle lull of the water and rocking of the boat cause you to remember your situation.

Leaning back, you smile down at Eddie, and he smiles back, brushing your hair with one hand as your elbows lean on his chest. Your hand finds his necklace and you pull it out, fingering it and observing.

"What's this?" You whisper, wanting to know its meaning.

"It's a guitar pick" He quietly laughs sarcastically, and you playfully tap his nose.

"Yeah, but why'd you wear it?"

"It's my lucky pick, my uncle got me it and I've always just been attached to it, it's like my precious" Eddie tells you, making a hissing voice like Smeagol at the last part.

"Hmmm" You say, kissing him once and settling down again, listening to his heartbeat as he cuddles you.

Time passes and you both settle into a comfortable silence again, until footsteps sound from outside the boathouse.

You both give each other a shocked look, you peek out of the tarp before making a decision, climbing out as Eddie hisses your name.

You rip off the tarp and grab and oar, and Eddie understands what you mean to do.

You both use the oars to get the boat out onto the lake, hoping for a quiet and stealthy getaway.

It's eerily quiet out on the lake, with a fog lingering across the water as the slight ripples of the water make it seem like something from a horror movie.
