My walkie talkie Eddie gave me goes off under the pile of washing I have yet to put away, Eddie's voice calls my name as I scramble off of my bed to answer it.

"Eddie, I'm here, are you okay?" I say as I grab it, brushing my hair out of my face.

"Yeah...well no, me and Wayne had an argument. Is it all right if I come over?" He asks, sounding desperate.

"Yeah, sure, my parents don't get back until a few hours." I reply, quickly rushing to tidy my room before Eddie comes over.

Not 15 minutes later, Eddie knocks at the door, hands in his jacket as me gives me a small smile. I wrap my arms around his middle and give him a hug, and his arms snake around my waist as his head nestles into my neck. I stumble back and close the door as he clings on to me.

"What happened?" I murmur, rubbing his back as he lets out a shuddery breath.

"He just had a go at me for still dealing drugs, and we just argued about how much money we have. Nothing to worry about." Eddie says, leaning back and giving me a grin that doesn't reach his eyes.

I give him a pointed look, putting my hands on my hips as I sigh. "He's right. If you're serious about graduating you really should give it up before the cops catch you."

He scoffs, stepping back. "So you're taking his side over mine?"

"What? No, I just want what's best for you. You know I'm right otherwise you'd actually meet my eyes instead of staring at that stupid plant pot!" I quickly reply, shaking my head in exaggeration.

A few moments pass and Eddie rubs his hand across his face, sighing as he mumbles "I've messed up. How am I gonna fix this?"

My eyes soften as I walk over to him and move his hand away from his face, placing my hands on either side of his cheeks as I tell him "First we're gonna go see your Uncle Wayne so you can apologise, then you're gonna promise me that you won't deal no more, I get sometimes you need a smoke, but no more dealing."

Eddie nods and gives me a genuine smile, leaning down and pressing a light kiss to my lips as he murmurs "I'd be lost without you."

I smile back and grab my coat as Eddie helps me into his van and we drive to his trailer. Eddie beckons me inside and Wayne stands up from the couch looking worn out.

Eddie looks to me for reassurance and I nod as he begins his apology we planned on the way here.

"Wayne, I'm so sorry I shouted at you, it was shitty of me and you didn't deserve it. You're right about the dealing, I'm gonna try to give it up, I just wanted to try and pitch in, you know?" Eddie rambles, and Wayne shakes his head.

"I know, you're a good man Eddie, you just made a few mistakes." Wayne replies, grabbing Eddie and hugging him.

I smile at their interaction until Wayne leans back and turns to me, "She's a keeper this one, Eddie you better not screw this up because she's the one who'll keep you in line."

I smile and nod a thanks to him, and Eddie wraps his arm around my shoulder, leading me to his bedroom.

"Thank you for sorting this out, I didn't mean to dump this all on you." Eddie says, rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's okay, I know you'd do the same for me." I say, getting on my tip toes and pressing a kiss to Eddie's cheek as he embraces me.
