CAMPAIGN- PART TWENTY FOUR

You all arrive at Eddie's trailer, and you remember that this is the same one from your nightmare a few days ago.

Metallica still plays on your head as the ominous feeling lingers. You feel something watching you from somewhere, turning to look at the trees, you see nothing there.

Eddie places a comforting hand on your shoulder and gives it a squeeze, you look up to see his face full of concern, so you fake a smile before following Steve inside the trailer.

The first thing you see is the glowing red gate, surrounded by vines. It pulses as you stand and stare. You grab Eddie's hand in the dim light, hoping you can keep him calm enough.

You couldn't even imagine the thought of a murder happening in your own home, let alone going back to it from another dimension.

Eddie's breathing becomes ragged, and you turn to him, pulling him down to your chest as he holds on to you, burying his face in your hair.

You cup his head, protecting him from the view, remembering that this is also where Chrissy died. Your hands feel something wet and you realise Eddie is crying, you pull him into the darkness away from the others.

Cupping his cheek you look into his eyes, "Not all tears are evil" You whisper, hoping he gets the Lord Of The Rings reference. His small smile tells you he did, Eddie pecks your lips, wiping the tears away with the back of his hand, before standing straight again.

The gate continues pulsing, but it looks like something is trying to get through. Steve reaches out an arm to hold you all back. You do the same with Eddie, instinctively pushing him behind you.

The gate splatters, and goop falls down like rain, you all jump back, unti a familiar voice calls out. Dustin, that genius kid!

You take a step forward and see Dustin standing there, upside down, along with Max, Lucas and Erica.

Waving like a madman, you smile up at them.
