Dear Jesus,
I came out of the exam hall after submitting my answer sheet to the invigilator and stretched my hands to the sky.
I'd just finished the last paper of this session—none other but the almighty BIO101.Thank you, Jesus!
Before I recount the exciting tale of how today went, let me take a moment to say how much I missed writing in this journal.
I had been so caught up with many things, especially studying for the just-concluded exams. I needed to build a strong GPA foundation if I wanted to fulfil the dream of acing medical school and maintaining my scholarship.
Bleh. That's a pretty lame excuse, now that I see it in black and white. But, seriously, it's been a rough ride, trying to balance it all. So far, you've kept me standing, as always. I must say, college exams are on a whole new level of hardness. High school was chicken change and I thought then that they were torturing us unnecessarily.
Anyways, I've been doing more of building myself up spiritually along with my friends. About our new intakes, Portia and Mike: the battles against them have been hectic, but in you, Lord, we overcome.
I was twisting and stretching, loosening my stiff muscles from the creaks caused by sitting in a position for over three hours. Just then, I saw Phoebe emerge from the second door of the hall with a frown.
The exam was on a 'drill and dig' level not a 'scrape the surface' level, I agree.
Mrs Zaria Holten has a special talent for fishing her questions from the deepest crevices of her copious class notes.
And just as Uluir had hinted to me, she never repeated a single question so trying to use PQs as a guide was more or less pointless.
Mrs Zaria was a question-popping machine that could twist one's brains. If not for your grace and wisdom, I'd have been stumped on many questions.
It was a big plus to me, enjoying your voice telling me those things I'd forgotten. While I was answering a particular question about bacterial infections, you said something funny and I snorted in laughter.
It was even funnier when I saw glances from those sitting around me. They were probably questioning if I was normal to experience mirth when the BIO101 questions could make one's head explode. But, I could tell from Phoebe's hard countenance that whatever was wrong with her was beyond exam stress.
My Radiance, I heard you call.
Jesus, I like the way you call my name. I can never get tired of hearing you speak. Your soft voice ringing in my heart makes me want to do anything for you if only to hear you call me forever.
*Lovey-dovey sigh*Back to real life.
I watched Phoebe walking with frustration written all over her face.
Go to her, you said.
You remember all that sweet feeling I described a few paragraphs ago? It felt like someone poured cold water on a burning coals and the fizzling sound was there.
"Lord? Go to who?"
Now, I wasn't angry at Phoebe. I'd forgiven her a long time ago. I just wanted to keep my distance since I knew the sort of embarrassment she was capable of dishing out.
I mean, the whole saga has died down already, but still, I fear walking alone because people would begin pointing and whispering, "Hey isn't that the shoe licker?"Yes, Radiance. You know who I am talking about. She's the one you're looking at.
"But... why? You know about my distance and silence code concerning Phoebe."
