A long night🔞

Pete POV

We have been hugging for a long time and I don't want to let him go. I missed him so much.

"Pete please stop crying, I don't like to see you like this."
"I can't help it."
I say in between sobs.
"Please just hold me a little longer."
"I'll hold you for however long you want baby."

My legs get tired and I pull Vegas to sit on the ground with me while still holding me.

"Vegas... I was so scared. I thought we were over. I thought you didn't love me anymore."
"Pete I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I never meant for this to happen. I just wanted to make sure I did this right and in the process I fucked it all up."

"I know you didn't. We have to get back. I have to get back to Macau."
I pull away from him a little and he kisses my tears away.
I finally stop crying and look at his face. I never want this to happen again.

"Pete. Listen to me. I will never ever leave you. You are the most important person in my life and I will never hurt you again."
He holds my hands against his chest and tears escapes his eyes.

"Don't cry."
"I'm not."
I chuckle at his response and put my hand on his face.

"I love you so much Vegas. I can't imagine my life without you."
"I'm sorry I left our family Pete. I never thought about it like that. I was just thinking about you."
"I know Vegas."

We stare at each other for a long while until Vegas breaks the silence.
"Venice started walking?"
"He did. I was so proud of him. He walked all the way to Macau and to me again. He fell a few times but it was so adorable. I missed you so much when that happened. I wanted to share this with you."
"I know and I-"
"Yes you're sorry. I know Vegas. I don't want to hear it anymore. It's going to be okay."

I rest my forehead on his and we stay like this for a long while.

"Come on you're going to get hurt if you stay here like this."
He takes my hands and pulls me up to sit on his legs and makes me koala hug him and I press my face in the crook of his neck.

"I love you Pete."
"I love you Vegas."

The sun starts to set and we sit on the edge on the cliff looking out over the horizon.
I sit next to Vegas with my head resting on his shoulder and his arm over mine.

He's been playing with the hand that has the beautiful new ring on it and kisses my finger occasionally.

I've never had so many types of feelings in one day and it's exhausting.
"Pete?"
I feel him stroking my cheek and I open my eyes.

"You fell asleep. We should get back."
"Okay."

He stands up and pulls me up by my hands giving me a quick kiss on the lips. It makes my heart flutter and I smile at him.

He starts walking but I pull him back by his hand and lay it on my lower back while I kiss him.

Sweet but not fast.
I open my mouth for him and he starts exploring my mouth with his tongue.
I missed this so much. I missed his taste and his smell and his perfect face.

I pull away from him after a minute.
"Sorry I got carried away."
"That's never something to apologise for baby."
He says smirking at me and gives me a peck on the lips.

We walk down the mountain and get back to yaai and dtaa's house and walk in.

They're both sitting on the couch and look up as we walk in hand in hand.

"Pete? What happened? Are you okay?"
"I'm okay yaai. I'm better than okay. I'm getting married."
"What?!"

They stand up from the couch and walk to us.
"It was all a misunderstanding. I'm sorry for worrying you both."
