(Milo's a/n) this chapter took so long to write omg. We had to restart so many times 😭

(Priah's A/N) HI :) THINKING OF MAKING MY OWN WATTPAD SOON!!

____________

Breaking that kiss Finney and I had shared brought me a lot of emotions. Happiness, shock, confusion, overjoy, and pure electricity rushing through my body, making me jolt in excitement at Finney's gesture.

All I ever had wanted whilst being alive, had just happened. Though while I was human, I hadn't quite realized my true feelings for this boy. My heart fluttered and my fingertips tingled as I laced my fingers with Finney's, engulfing his hand in mine.

"I've been wanting to do that for awhile." Finney had said, a light pink flush tinting his cheeks. Essentially making my cheeks flush in a similar hue, the color of sweet red roses on a summer afternoon.

"Hah, same." I replied. I had laughed, laughed out of pure shock. This all felt of some fairytale that was too god damn good to be true. At any moment I would jolt awake in my bed where this was all some sick dream. Finney wouldn't be real, nor Vance, Billy, Griffin, even Matty. This life would all be some fantasy and I would never love someone the same; the way I had loved Finney. Though I don't really blame myself as this is all very bizarre to be experiencing first hand.

I stood up, pulling Finney up with me. A determined gaze in my eyes and dedication that had filled my aura. Dedication, dedication to escape this weird world and go somewhere me and Finney would only know of. Somewhere far, far, from here. Far from this sick town.

Far from the manor and far from The Headmaster.

"We need to go.. like now." I had whispered to Finney, who nodded in fear. I had shared the same emotions he was experiencing.

"This is going to sound weird.. but we're going to need to climb through the vents." I spoke, pointing to the vents that had been high off from the ground, in fact, insanely close to the ceiling above us. Finney was startled at my idea, furrowing his eyebrows.

"How do we even get up there?" Finney asked in doubt of my plan.

"Well, I'm going to have to boost you up there." I said, approaching the wall the vent rested upon, cupping my hand to around my knee's level so Finney could get a 'boost' up. Finney approached me, stepping carefully and gently on my hand, lifting himself up and gripping the rim of the vent before climbing in.

"Thanks." He spoke, which made my heart flutter. I climbed into the vent as well, as my 'abilities' made me able to jump up to the vents entrance. I followed Finney shortly behind, trying to be as quiet and sneaky as possible. Finney began to cough as dust floated down his throat, tickling his insides. I shushed him quickly as the sun was beginning to rise, therefore students and workers of the Manor would be if not already awake, about to awake.

Our aged shoes thudded against the metal vent under us. Our breaths loud, echoing against the silver flimsy walls and fogging the metal.

The other end of the vent was soon visible. We were able to see the maroon red carpet and cream yellow accent walls. The sounds of birds chirping chimed in our ears, the sunlight peaking through the dirty windows that were much overdue for a clean. Nobody had cleaned them because supposedly the windows musk hid us from the public.

Finney crawled out of the vent, coughing up dust and wiping his clothes clean. I then crawled from the vent as well, kneeling low and close to Finney, grasping his hand to insure I wouldn't lose him again.

One of the exits of the Manor was straight down the hall. Typically it would be unlocked, so we had assumed it would be unlocked now. I mouthed to Finney 'Let's go' and I started walking, kneeling, pulling Finney gently behind me. The floor creaked under our footsteps, screeching and scratching as we tip-toed. We could hear people walking around the manor, as they awoke, going to the cafeteria for a morning coffee. This put us in a state of fear and anxiety. Fear that someone would catch us in the act of escaping this shit hole.

"This is it." I whispered with a smile as we stood at the exit, my free hand grasped against the doorknob. Finney nodded with a smirk as I twisted the knob, pulling the door open as light leaked through the small gap in the door I had created. We exited the manor, happy. We did it, we escaped.

The grass under us was turning yellow, it was overgrown and prickly as it brushed and tickled against our knees. Finney chuckled, happy, as the sun sparkled against his pale, fragile, and bruised skin. I smiled at him, who smiled back as we held hands staring off into the distance.

"We should probably go, yea?" I said, looking behind us.

"Yea. We should." Finney replied, walking, pulling me behind him.

We hadn't walked for long when all of the sudden a voice spoke. A familiar voice.

"Robin?"
