________
It had gotten late, Finney and Robin discussed the suitcase for many hours, talking about the possibilities of what could've really happened, and what those 'Arrow Men' could of wanted. Finney stood in the kitchen alone, staring out the window up to the moon. He sighed, looking down to the counter, in which held a knife block that kept several different knives in it. Finney grabbed a knife from the block, sighing in exhaustion as he went to the cupboard and grabbed a glass cup from it and taking it back to the counter.
"Why do I do this" Finney mumbled, staring down at the lifeless chipmunk that laid below him. He put the knife to the creatures stomach, slicing it, wincing at the pain it brought him to do this to this creature. He grabbed the critter, squeezing the blood from it and letting the blood drip and drop into the cup. This was a regular thing, it was to keep Robin alive, or, well, functioning that is. Robin would get tired and he would basically begin to deconstruct without blood, it was a thing that came with being 'turned' as Robin would call it. Robin didn't want Finney to do this for him, in fact, sometimes he would plead to Finney to just let him die, but Finney could never bring himself to let his lover die, not again.
Finney gripped the cup, filling it with water, watering down the blood. He then walked into the bedroom, in which Robin and Finney would share. Robin laid in bed, his back to the door, he muttered. He muttered nonsense, as he typically would.
"Robin?" Finney spoke, approaching the bed and sitting down next to Robin, putting a gentle hand against his back and rubbing circles into it.
"I brought you blood." He then whispered, which made Robin turn around, he was teary eyed.
"Robin? What's wrong?" Finney would ask, putting the glass against the bed side table.
"Was it worth it?" Robin mumbled through his cries.
"Was what worth it, Robin?" Finney puzzled, laying down next to his lover and putting a hand against his cheek.
"Was it worth the pain, just to keep me alive?" Robin sniffled, leaning into his touch.
"Yes, it's always worth it." Finney smiled.
"I just wish I could change." Robin whispered, shaking his head as his voice cracked. He wanted to be normal again, he didn't want to be this self-proclaimed 'disgusting monster'.
"Darling.."
"I just wish I could change." Robin repeated, turning his back to Finney, grasping the cup that sat on the bedside table, drinking from it.
"You're the most beautiful being I've ever known." Finney whispered, grasping tight onto Robin's waist, snuggling into the crook of his neck.
