This one is a little longer than normal :)

It was 3'o clock on a Saturday and Nancy was at home studying even though school didn't go back until next month.

She was in for a fun surprise when she found out that the Byers had come down to Hawkins for the remainder of the holidays, which was fine, but it would cause an uncomfortable situation between her and Jonathan and she was less than excited.

So what does one do when she feels nervous? Call Robin. She picks up the phone and dials in the number, it rings a few times before Robin picks up "hello, Buckley residence" the raspy voice spoke, "hey Rob!" Nancy exclaimed trying but failing to slightly hide how excited she was to hear her girlfriends voice, "Nance!" Robin cheered, smiling on the other end of the phone. "What's up?" She continued. "Nothing much just bored" Nancy said biting her lip, "what are you doing? Wait no- lemme guess, studying?". Of course Robin knew Nancy too well at this point, "nuh uh" Nancy replied trying to cover up the boring equations she was doing previously, "yes yes you were!" Robin pushed, knowing that Nancy was trying to cover it up, "god, school doesn't even start again until next month nance!" "Yeah but I wanna be prepared you know?" Nancy admitted. "Well, if you want to ditch that boring homework, you could come over? My parents are out and I could invite Steve and Eddie to have a movie night?" Robin grinned, in that moment Nancy realised that she had in fact never been in Robin's house, she had seen it, since she dropped Robin off all the time but had never been inside. "Ok! I'll be there in 10" she replied through grinning teeth.

Robin put down the phone grinning to herself. She picked it back up again and dialled in Steve's number, and then Eddie's. Finally after a seemingly never ending talk with Eddie she put down the phone and laid back on her bed.

Nancys coming overrrr!
Wait, Nancys coming over.
Shit, I gotta clean.

She frantically scurried around her room picking up clothes and rubbish she had discarded on her floor. She went down stairs to check that her house wasn't a mess before fluffing the pillows on the couch and running back up towards her room, not before tripping on the carpeted stairs. "SHIT" she yelped out in pain picking herself off of the stairs when the ringing of her door caught her off guard.

She hobbled over the the door slightly clutching her now-bruised knee and flung it open, it was Nancy.
The curly haired girl giggled at the sight of Robin wincing at her knee, it was clear that Nancy had heard the thump of her falling over. Robin grew more flushed and avoided eye contact, clearly embarrassed. "Oh Rob, what happened" Nancy said biting her lip to try to contain her smile, "I-uh fell on the stairs" Robin huffed out quietly. Nancy took a few steps towards Robin and placed her hands on Robin's cheeks forcing the girl to make eye contact. "your so cute" she whispered into Robin's ear making her flush. Robin expected a kiss or something but Nancy just pulled away and started to walk up the stairs leaving a red faced Robin standing in the door way now completely oblivious of the pain in her knee. "Come on! I want to see your room" Nancy called out, snapping Robin out of her trance.

Nancy ran up the stairs, robin following quickly after wanting to be the first person in her room to make sure it wasn't too messy.

The room was small but nice, the walls were lined with records and posters of various bands and movies. The wallpaper itself was a faded musty green that was slightly cracking. In the corner of the room there was a trumpet next to its case and a small pile of lose sheet music.

"Welcome to my room" Robin announced proudly with a wonky grin on her face.  Nancy walked around before flopping on the bed in the middle of the room and propping herself up to look at Robin "when are the others getting here?" She questioned tilting her head slightly, "they said about 20 minutes, so for now it's just us" Robin answered smiling.
